Cody Cepeda and Sewa are pro? For who?

Sewa for dark star no? Didn’t know about Cody Cepeda though.

Kinda hyped for this to be honest. Might inspire me to start skating more flat ground. Haven’t really practiced flip tricks in years

Also, speaking of Berries being desperate, Borra was in Commack, Long Island last night at a local game of skate contest and was apparently paid 10k to host it/just to be there idk which yet. Waiting on real footage but multiple homies’ insta stories were popping off all night.

What the hell? That is intense. Rodney's got some super human pain tolerance.

"You suffered and overcame a career-ending condition where your femur bone had fused into your hip. Can you describe your injury and what you did to recover?
I was doing a halfcab kickflip underflip, going at a good speed and I landed badly, ending up in the splits and tearing something in my hip. The scar tissue that developed as a result locked it down – I was cinched in. The bone would pull into my hip and grind, bone on bone, until eventually, calcification occurred, welding them together. I couldn’t walk for any distance and skating seemed to be over.

After much deliberation, with doctors doubtful of my recovery, I engaged in medieval ways to break apart the bone fusion – hammering the end of screwdrivers into my flesh, climbing into the wheel well of my car to apply leverage while pulling on the car’s frame. After thousands of hours, over years of doing this, I began breaking those dried-gum-like strands of fascia. I would often become overwhelmed, screaming violently in pain, panic-stricken that I was doing more damage than good and I would never be able to skate again. Until one night, hanging from my car, I heard a thump. And when I got up, I realized that I had broken the calcification and my hip joint was mobile again. That was the beginning of what was to come."

I had no idea Rodney went through this. Unbelievable.

me neither, goddam

How is Cody Capeda pro? I don't think I've ever seen his name outside of games of skate at the berrics, and even then it was like 6 years ago

dont you think SKATE would be a more balanced / fair competition for the olympics than this street course runs + best trick attempts bs? it is pretty cut and dry you either landed the trick or you didnt.

these games would be 1000x more interesting if they forced the guy over a small gap even, would weed out the scrubs very quickly and pros would shine hard and expose these frauds

Somehow, and unfortunately, turning yourself pro became acceptable over time.

It'll give them time to find replacements for all the influencers who aren't interested.

The bracket match-ups are blatantly, sickeningly sus.

it'd be funny if they had a bracket for "canceled" skaters like johan, yonnie, daryl angel, ethan fowler, matt ball, etc.

2 games a weekend with 64 skaters
how long will this take

64 skaters means 32 games
Those 32 winners play 16 games
Those 16 winners play 8 games
Those 8 winners would play 4 games

Then the final four go into the finals weekend

So at this pace if I’m going to add the games leading to the finals
32 + 16 + 8 + 4 = 60 games

Divide 60 by 2 since it’s 2 games per weekend
That’s 30 weeks

So if it’s 30 weeks till the finals
Finals should commence in mid January 2022

Can't even hate the berrics any more. Good luck to them. Although didn't berra say they 'never made a penny from it' wtf is wrong with those guys?! They had the biggest thing in skateboarding for a good few years and never made a penny? regular.

The fact the Revive dudes may or may not show is insulting seeing as their entire shtick/business is a carbon copy of the Berrics... Just with shittier skaters.

Steve should've just invited the Braille people. They seem way less kooky.

What’s the difference?  Seriously?  A bunch of dudes that could not be am much les pro having a YouTube channel talking with kids and acting like they’re legitimately professional?  They all suck donkey balls and I don’t mean to offend donkeys.

its cut and dried but not really a good measure of talent. the person who goes first has a massive advantage. he just has to land 5 tricks the other guy doesn't have.
