Same, but it's kind of like that "you cant look away from a car wreck" thing. I know I'm gonna be mostly disappointed, with the exception of some of the icon games, but oh well.

Also, that announcer with the goofy fucking hat asking if the crowd was excited was some next level second hand embarrassment. Yikes.

I watched it because I deserve to suffer.

You can’t be like “is everyone excited about the game?” In a completely monotone voice and expect a good reaction. Especially if you do it, twice

Fucken hell that was bad.

That Good Charlotte kid deserves all the embarrassment in the world that he will no doubt feel in a few years.

I can't kickflip first try either...

And why did the one dude say "My dagger trick is Nollie 360 flip"... Then he does a switch 180 heel...

Pretty sure nollie tre is easier than anything that involves a switch 180.
[close]
I can switch front heel pretty consistently but nollie tres are kinda hard for me.

I guess Nollie is just switch popping off the nose...

But you're still controlling most of the board flick/rotation with your flicking foot on a nollie tre whereas a switch heel you're using your less dominant foot for the flick and pop respectively.

I think the fact I played soccer makes me think of my right foot as somehow slightly more controlled and stronger but maybe that's not the norm.

I was forming nollie tres before I could come close to a switch Ollie though.

Burberry's gigantic feet are a hinderance to his skating, even when he isn't wearing aerodynamic crocs or whatever the fuck those are. Also his kit looks like a low-level thug character from a 1980's beat 'em up arcade game. One of those dudes who comes out of a subway and throws a knife at you. And when you defeat him, he makes some kind of awful distorted yell "AUUGGHHRRH" and flashes before disappearing.

The good charlotte guy was probably stressed but it really seemed like none of those two are that good at skating. But again someone posted the Berra vs Heath game and they missed some easy stuff too so who knows.

edit : just saw that this is the caption for the video

"BATB 12's first match of the Influencer quadrant pits Sunny Suljic (623k followers on Insta) against Burberry Erry (264k). It's a battle that's sure to go viral… May God have mercy on your algorithms."

Is it a good caption or a bad caption?  ???

I don't know what's more distressing, their outfits. Or the fact that flatground skating this shitty looking is still way better than my flatground skating.

I feel sympathy for Burberry. He seems pretty introverted despite the outfit and even if he has 200k followers on IG it probably feels like his own bubble so getting on the mainstream stage like this was probably pretty uncomfortable. Didn’t he say in the previous video that he had a rolled ankle as well or something?

In any case, I’m not expecting the influencers to be on par with the pros, I guess it’s understandable that some might feel it’s a waste to have to sit through these matches but I enjoy the variety.

Remember that dancing goofyboi with the ridiculous sunglasses? He finally figured out it was kooky as fuck. Also not even mad about that game, Ginner’s good as fuck and actually has a decent style. Just sucks for the people that wait every week for these 2 minute shitfests that the Berries hypes up with pregame videos days in advance

These Influencer games are not good. Maybe this is a conspiracy by Berra to destroy the reputation these influencers have built up, as a way to bring skateboarding back to the days before Instagram Influencers were so prevalent and put the respect back in the names of the establishment.
