Not really related, but didn't they kinda do this before with Pros versus Joes? And didn't the "Joe" who won against all the other "Joes" not appear in the actual game?

I remember a kid doing a bunch of dork tricks and winning, and people were bummed, but I can't find any record of it.

Maybe I'm making this up but I don't think that's right because Cody was in the actual games. I think the Joes all played a game, and some dude beat them all, including Cody.

Cepeda did win the Pros Vs. Joes series. That was BATB 7.

I love that he went back to the crusty midwest after that BATB. It's like he saw the sausage being made and thought 'I'll just go vegan'.

Was this this kid with funky Huf socks doing pressure flip variations and all his homies were there celebrating him?
I swear this happened but I couldn't find it anymore. I remember watching it when it was released.

Yes, pretty sure that's it! So maybe we're not crazy. Seems to maybe be scrubbed.

most of the pros in their itw would say that the pressure would be so high in this game due to the audience/silence/filming, it's not surprising that average people are not performing well in that setup. I just watched the game with burberry dude and you can see he's got his legs shaking, so i think it's quite impressive what he's been able to pull off in that setup. T
here's a big difference between skating at the park with your homies and performing in front of an audience, being evaluated & filmed. I know i probably couldn't even ollie in that situation.
Sunny on the other hand, a kid actor, is so used to this, he doesn't even care. This is true for contests in general though, people's reaction to pressure/audience/evaluation makes a decisive difference

I think so. he participated to the battle of berrics already and performed pretty well too. Also he is now use to beeing kind of cameras and stuff like that.

I can only think of JP from Grandma's boy when I see this "BurberryErry" fellow. I can only imagine his mannerisms are similar, he just gives off that vibe so hard.

im just going to be open- i unironically enjoy burberry erry.  i think he's an amazing performance artist and his schtick cracks me up.  i could go either way on his skating but his weird goth kid videos are amazing.  there is a video he put up a month ago of him driving to some weird castle in a sports car that is brilliantly stupid and highly enjoyable..

In all fairness kickflip is the worst trick in skate for me, it's a easy enough trick that i always try to super pop and bone in a game of skate and i end up missing it more often then a hard trick that i don't expect myself to pop a foot high with a perfect bone and catch.

I always get Chris Chann and John Hill confused, they occupy the same slot in my mind, but I guess Chris Chann is significantly less kooky? And in a ”better headspace”…
