Not appreciating my own accomplishments. I was always the least talented dude in my scene so whenever I did something I never really thought it was a big deal. Looking back, I can't believe I didn't appreciate some of the shit I did, as I will never ever even attempt those tricks again.

Also, never waxing anything ever and always thinking, "Just go faster" makes my life harder than necessary. Overwaxing is a bad habit, but being too "core" to ever use wax makes skating harder than it needs to be. A bit of wax can really help sometimes.

Learning blunt-rock-to-fakie before blunt to fakie so now I'm deathly afraid of doing a regular blunt to fakie.

Pushing my frontside grinds over the coping.

Not learning to properly suck up any flatground tricks so now it's really hard to do them down/over things.

Constantly throwing tricks with zero intention of landing them.

"Stealing tricks." I often feel inspired to try a trick once I see someone else doing it.

Landing on my heels.

Not stretching before and after the sesh.

Isn't this a good habit to have? I always feel self-conscious because I'm usually grinding on the side of the coping.

Always turning my shoulders front side. Fucks up a lot of my tre flips and makes back 180s way harder than they should be. Always have to be forcing my shoulders against the way they want to go.

Saying, "Yes" to filming someone when asked when I haven't even seen them try the trick, get stuck standing around with a phone/camera in my hand for way too long, way too often. Gotta nix the habit or just be real with people when they're taking too long.

Holding in my breath when I do a trick. Breathing correctly in general.

not trying anything new because failure demotivates me

been doing the same shit for a decade

when you’re old, you don’t feel like you have the time to spend a whole sesh bailing the same flip trick

Damn I got the opposite problem, I skate my tech decks for years until they fall apart.

Thinking I have learnt the trick after landing it once.

lol, the false dawn can be harsh.

the day of my first ever fs heel, i did it perfect after about 30 tries

roughly 300 tries later i've got maybe 10 more suuuuuuper sketchy ones to my name

shit is painful

Getting stuck on proper kickflips. It doesn’t matter if I can do my other flatground tricks, some days I blow myself out just trying to do a nice level kickflip over and over.

another one i relate to way to hard

i'll do all my warm-up tricks fine, then instead of getting down to business i'll go 'yeah that kf could've been better'...
