I was thinking about this the other day. I'm one skate generation after this (spent my teenage years in the late 2000s/early 2010s), and I have so much respect for old independent videos that were filmed and edited before YouTube and the internet was super big.

They all were made by guys who filmed a certain way that's hard to describe - solid?

Nothing super flashy or artsy in terms of angles, filming technique, etc and the soundtracks are generally dope. Colors look on point too. It's well made without seeming contrived or pretentious.

Seems like that type of filmer is a dying breed. A lot of filmers and aspiring filmers seem to view themselves as a "capital F" filmers these days, whereas these guys just seem like dudes who made skate videos. IDK if that makes sense.

I wonder how many local scene vids like this were made and put on VHS/DVD and will never be uploaded for the world to see.

This type of shit is what I grew up on and wanted to emulate when I was older. Thanks for posting!
