Holy rolly polly that was so sick. I only learned of this dude fairly recently after watching his other Chris Mulhern sovereign sect video (which is also impressive)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIFkrLYrSnw

So many cool aspects to this video.
1. Like several others already mentioned I was expecting a 2-3 minute part and then lots of credits and b-sides. To put out a nine minute part is really something else.
2. The way he goes about trick and spot selection -like ollieing up onto that slanted, narrow rail/ledge thing and doing a bigspin up there. He makes rough east coast spots look fluid as well as highly cinematic.
3. I really like Mulhearn's editing style as a more subtle AWS vibe. At first I was kind of disappointed to hear that Philip Glass song since Benny Maglinao already used it in an incredibly beautiful Nike/Levis Omar ad, but it also worked really well in this edit too.
4. His style areminds me of an early 2000s skater if that makes any sense? He's just really smooth and surefooted with excellent finesse and pop. His backside 180 flips should be in the 180 flip skate conversation, I think. Also, anytime I see a line that has both a fs 360 and a 360 flip one after the other I get sparked (Jason Lee, Bobby Worrest are two).
5. Towards the end I kept thinking "ok thats a real nice ender" and then he kept going and going. He had like 12 enders.

Advertising works and I'm going to go order an Alien abduction teeshirt now. I hope Adidas puts him fully on the team.

I think this is this year's Verso, minus all the hype. Instant classic.

Credit where credit is due. That was the shit.

Hard to compare it to the Yuto part, but it’s up there.

More akin to a rawer, less contrived Suciu.

Kickflip through the sign was deadly.

Alien should’ve hired Mulhern for the reboot.

This dude should be pro for alien and adidas. I haven’t been genuinely shocked like that in a while.

One of my favorite parts ever. There, I said it. After the first watch. Not going to spoil the emotional impact by indulging in any of the reflective thoughts that were running through my head while watching it—I am going to appreciate it as a whole a few more times first.

While all of his clips have been great so far, the quality of this part blew my mind. Tricks like this are what I'm daydreaming about

He also never used any headwear, kinda cool

The bigspin on the narrow bank wall at Muni was so dumb. As someone said above Alien should have Mulhern do their video.

I see hints of Busenitz and Suciu in his skating. Maybe it's juts the shoes  ::)

This! Very Busenitzesque. Or is it Busenitzian? It's not just the shoes. It's the speed, the quick feet. But the shoes don't make the comparison more difficult.

This part was so good. I figured it was almost done about halfway through and checked the time. Was stoked to see there was more to come.

His style remind me a short version of Pluwolski but on roids...style trick selection, everything perfect.

Best style and trick selection. Really one of my favorites right now.

This was filmed and put together really great as well. I loved the use of that Phillip Glass piece.

I’d be pissed if this guy’s ever at Muni when I go. I wouldn’t even be able to skate I’d just watch him the whole time.

the arpeggios in the brass sound a lot like 'the swan theme' from sibelius' fifth symphony. worth checking out the last movement of that if you'd like the glass piece.

That was fucked. Unpopular opinion but better than Yuto’s part.
I back that opinion , that part was a hitter ! Spots !

Amazing work by both Joey and Chris.
All Chris Mulherns untitled videos (all amazing) plus bunch of other great work are on his Vimeo page https://vimeo.com/user1075998.
Joey was on a tear last couple of years, from Sabotage videos to his Alien welcome video to this. Total ripper on a skateboard.

WOW!

He fucks Princeton up in ways I’ve never thought possibly.

Back tail to drop in on the handicap assisted death ramp. That thing is a mess of cracked uneven slate.

Amazing.
