Wheel give / movement?
« on: June 27, 2021, 01:02:40 PM »
Sorry if this has been discussed and covered but has anyone tested rattly wheels (sideways movement / no washers) vs having no movement?

Specifically for those that have to have their axle nut completely flush with no thread showing like me. I've always been told by having any sideways wheel movement it makes your bearings blow out quicker. Apparently it doesn't?

I don’t want to find out, so I put 2 or 3 extra washers on so there’s a little movement but not so much I feel like they’re gonna get fucked up.

I try to do at least one washer on each side, but flush. No problems. Lots of rattle.

Tight, no rattle w/spacers and speedrings = dead sounding and feeling board

Slightly loose, with just a little bit of play/rattle is where it's at.

the washer-bearing-spacer combo never works properly anyways, in theory it does but in practice the wheel mold fucks it all up so yeah a lil rattle is where its at

3washers inside, 1 washer outside, nut flush
Nah i skate big boards cause i got big ass feet and a big ass dick
