Definitely my favorite fakie flip ever and likely my favorite Pier 7 line of all time. Starting with the switch tail to fakie is just too good

As a taller dude who sorta looks like him, I spent my entire skate "career" trying to mimic Welsh's skating and clothing style (did not own an oversized Giants leather jacket though).

Obviously I failed horribly, but damn it, that's exactly who I wanted to look like and skate like.

Exactly this. I wore a Giants New Era for years and years strictly because of Welsh. And shit I'm still trying to skate like him. I'll have those pop outs one day...
