We're halfway through 2021. Mason was consistent throughout 2020 with a part per quarter. We really haven't seen that yet and SOTY seems up for grabs. The list of people who have a window as of now:

Grant Taylor: LA takeover was sick, Thrasher favorite
Roman Pabich: Up and comer, hell rider, homies parts, trick of the year
Chris 'Cookie' Colbourn: Puts out the most, best footage: X Games, Worble, hours of IG etc
Dashawn Jordan: Toy part was sick, ripped Xgames gold, well liked with peers.
Zion: Brings home gold, it might be a wrap.

Alex Midler is 100% not getting SOTY.

There are certain skaters, no matter how talented they are, who just accept that they will never, ever be SOTY. Milder could drop 17 banger parts between now and December and consider himself lucky to be nominated.

I think Nyjah is one of those type of skaters. I'm always surprised whenever I come across someone who thinks he might get SOTY or should of been.

I think Nyjah is one of those type of skaters. I'm always surprised whenever I come across someone who thinks he might get SOTY or should of been.

Nigel has a better chance at SOTY than Midler will ever have. That said, Nigel will never ever win SOTY.

I'm on team Cookie. I think he'll be a serious contender but I don't think Thrasher would celebrate his style. Milton had more Thrasher appeal than Suicu and likely Jack O'Grady, GT, or any of the others listed in the original post have more Thrasher points than Cookie.

Also, I'd like to see Brian Reid make it into the second round up into the top 10.
