I think it should be like the X-games real street contest,Parts instead of runs. You get 4 years to create a video part!!Am I the only one who thinks this is the only way a street skateboarding contest could show what street skating is about?

The days of skateboarders getting paid to create a video part once every 4 years is over.  Aside from that, this idea is dumb as fuck.

God damn, some female BMX competitor from the Ukraine just ate shit.

No medics out even though she bashed her head and she eventually got up and rode off.  Commentators were like 'what heart!'

I dunno man, can't let people with head injuries continue (IMO).

Didn't watch the contest as I don't really care about the same tricks being repeated by the same individuals at every event.

Just dropped in to say, that I was very surprised at how negatively skateboarding has been received by the online commentators ... not really accepting it as a physically hard sport on the level of other sports. I really wished that the effect would be the opposite - skateboarding finally getting recognized as a seriously demanding activity.

I was always saying that skateboarding does not fans that never skateboarded or never will and this just proves my point. Let these imbeciles argue over *-ball and let us enjoi life.

To be honest - the format is so freaking boring. If we as skateboarders can’t enjoy it why would the regular population do? I do suspect Pedro, Oski, Zion and company could save it though. Park will probably be more exciting to watch for everyone.

I had the opposite reaction - I am thrilled that all the people I don’t like had a negative reaction to skateboarding. My favorite complaints I encountered on Twitter were:
A) too much camaraderie among contestants
B) skaters had headphones in and were doing tricks with phones in their pockets
C) no one landed anything (a valid complaint from a layperson)
D) THE PANTS WERE TOO BAGGY

They're training in secret so nobody knows what tricks they're going to do

Oh I meant actual footage of the contest.
I can't find video of it except for highlights.

No. I guess the idea is they might want to finish their run I guess but with head stuff I assumed you'd have to have a quick check.

Women's park tomorrow and men's the day after. Who's watching? You can get a one-week trial of Fubo to watch the Olympics, just don't forget to cancel your subscription. Mine already ran out so I need to find another way to watch the next couple days. Anyone know of any streams or other free methods?

It's an aggregator type channel for sports that you can install on a bunch of different devices. I watched it through my Roku player.

On the home page there’s “trending events” and Olympic feeds should be in there.

Alternatively click the “tv” icon on the top navigation bar. From there you will see a variety of tv channels to choose from based on coverage and language.

I’ve never heard of Sky Brown before but she’s a bloody weapon.

Opening trick was a 360 over the hump, she busted out a Japan air mid run

Saw Sky Brown skate the Venice Beach park a few years back and been a fan ever since. She'll be as good or better than the Men by the next Olympics.

The Japanese girl in the painters fit with the Nike Para socks, F.O.T.Y

(Canadians) I cannot comprehend that Craig McMorris wasn’t commentating the street for CBC. spending tax money to send him and then they don’t even use him for half it.

Since when the hell is a mute grab not a mute grab, these announcers are speaking for all of skateboarding renaming a trick that nobody else agreed on aside from “world skateboarding” i bet
