It's a joke. Obviously the Brazil team is sponsored/has Nike do their uniforms, and Felipe must be goin' home. Also see the Nike has white circle with a cross through it?

Is it true?  Or did you read it on the slap message board?

Yeah that makes sense. I slashed out the Nike for fun. I just think it's weird that Adidas would allow their riders to sport nike in a mega viewed Olympic scenario like this. I guess we know who has more money.

I was under the impression that each country had a sportswear company design their uniforms. I recall also seeing one of the women skaters wear a Fila polo. Can anyone confirm?

This happens during every Olympic games. Some company pays to be the "exclusive apparel", and professionals with loyalties to other brands have no choice but to wear them. Michael Jordan, during the awards ceremony, famously obscured the Reebok label on his jacket with an American flag.

Each team/country has a kit sponsor that they had to wear at all times but if they have individual gear sponsors they can wear them in competition.

Although the team is sponsored by Nike, a rider can wear Adidas/cons/vans etc while competing but must revert back to Nike's if/when they appear on the podium.

No alternative branding can be worn on clothing including headwear.

The USA basketball team players will all wear their respective sponsors shoes while playing but when not on the court they have to wear Nike.

He was actually a pretty good skater. But his bearded lady vibe was his undoing...

Do you think the Olympics didn't exist before this year or something? Companies have had this shit figured out for a hundred years. They're not going to bar their sponsored athletes from participating just because someone else shelled out more money for the endorsements, they'd just be shooting themselves in the foot.

You feeling alright there buddy? I never really paid much attention to the Olympics except for a couple sports. Never was a jock fan, only really watched when I was younger and my relatives had it on. Now that there was something that I actually wanted to see I tried to watch it but a storm took out my receiver and didn’t record it. Is this a good enough explanation for you? I mean since you’ve been around for hundreds of years I can see why your bitter.
