office type work shoe like the HUF Dylan
« on: August 09, 2021, 12:56:24 PM »
Need some good lowkey dressy type work shoes. the black especially leather colorways of the Dylan HUF shoe look pretty perfect. but they're kinda rare to find it seems. anybody have a pair in 11-12 or so size range? or how about any reccomendations, any slappers here work in an office type place and need to wear dressy stuff? what do you wear?

Anybody got a pair? of any of the black colorways in a 11.5 or 12? Need some good low key work shoes and figured these would be good. also open to suggestions of anything that looks similar and kinda more dressy as that's what the situation calls for.

bump please make it so i dont have to wear real dress shoes anymore slappers

I feel like for work casual, you might be able to get away with the Emerica Spank G6. Especially if you get the all black pair.

I have a pair of the original first run lace up all black leather Dylans that (at least before WFH became the new normal) was definitely part of my work shoe rotation. So much more comfortable than regular dress shoes, but they blend in.

I wouldn't wear them to an important meeting or a wedding or anything, but they're great for day-to-day white collar office wear. They still look amazing too! So glad I only skated them a handful of times in college.

If you can find a pair, do it.

sadly those are pretty hard to come by. especially in my size. i'm eyeing up some of the leather slip ons, but i'm pretty unsure. i've historically thought slip ons were sooo fucking dumb....but maybe they might look alright? i've never even seen them in real life though, so hard to tell. also, is it true they run small? thanks for the info, my man.

I wear black State Vistas to work, but then again I work with some bro types at a cannabis Corp who wear Jordans and dgaf so take that w a grain of salt. You could also probably pull of those Lakai Riley Mids.

monochromatic (all white or all black) Authentics are the way to go until a new dylan-esque shoe comes along (unlikely)

Have you tried outside of skating. Frye or Steven Madden makes a Dylan dupe. Ugg believe it or not makes great slip on and boots that are great to work in. plus brands I called out also can be found cheap on other web stores, eBay, Depop, mercari etc.

Yes like I said ugg makes a dress slip on that is less then 100 or even less on second hand sites. I wear Prada slip ons that are second hand and cost less then a Vans slip on new. Just gotta look around. I saw you called out 11 to 12 so I’ll look for you

Got a ton of Dylan's in the laced & slip on version. At this point they are just a collection at this point. I always had a tough time wearing a skate shoe despite it looking fancy or dressy as a work shoe. Ebay definitely has helped with getting some nice loafers i.ie PRADA for 50 bucks in exceptional condition. Have you tried https://www.therealreal.com? Another great place for nicely discounted stuff.

Also, surprised in regards to the blundstone hate; love my all black pair. Use them for hiking, going out, etc. VERSATILITY...

I think there’s like a sketcher type quality with the blundstones I can’t stand. I also hate boots with little straps to help you get em on…i don’t know. Weird little nit pick type shit.

If you’re still casually looking for the Dylan’s anywhere let me know if you see any 11.5s. Might as well snatch em if they’re cheap. Seriously appreciate all the help. Next time I’m at work I’m gonna go on a marathon hunting sesh to find a perfect pair or something…
