Office Chair Recommendation
« on: August 12, 2021, 02:32:12 AM »
Looking for some recommendations on a comfortable home office-y type chair.  Not too big.  Would consider leather.  Not trying to break the bank but would drop a couple Benjamin’s if it’s worth it.

There's other colors available if this doesn't match the office decor.

I’m not going to ask what those protuberances up top are for.

I imagine one of them is used for a handle?

Haha, I briefly considered getting one but I just can’t do it.  I’m not trying to look like a twitch streamer.

WB Mason sells used chairs. For a few extra dollars they will show you a picture of the last person who sat in it...

I've stuck with the gaming chairs simply because they are really comfortable and supportive at a mid range price point. Yeah Herman Miller etc is a better choice but you're approaching a grand for a chair, not everyone has that kind of dough.

If you go all black or gray they aren't too garish. Secret lab seems to be the best option. I've had two Clutch chairs and they are comfortable but QC is off sometimes.

Honestly gaming chairs are the way to go. I got one off fb marketplace for pretty cheap and its really good. Has lumbar support and a neck pillow that comes in handy.

Use this chair from Staples. Had it for almost 4 years and still works good as new. Ergonomic as well.

I tried to find my chair, but I can't locate it on the office depot website.  What I can say is that it is one of those purchases where you have to try out the chair before purchase. I went to various stores and would sit in each of the chairs without looking at the prices and then after I identified those that felt comfortable whittled it down from there.  I didn't notice a difference between 600$ chairs and 250$ chairs tbh.  After you find the chair you are looking for make sure to find it on their website.  I saved 100 bucks because they had to price match their website.

In the process of trying to find my specific chair, I did come across this chair, which I feel struck me as your chair-spirit-animal.  As the video on their website states the seat is comprised of fire retardant foam, which if I know you like I think I do, which I don't, is EXACTLY what you are looking for.

Also, it has a reclining function so you can pull this move on the regs without needing to be facing a desk.

I have one of these and it's comfortable for long stretches of work.

I wanted one without arms though so I could play guitar while sitting in it. Don't know if you want those.
