If I do a grip job of any kind (ex. clear section to expose a cool top graphic) I will murder that board within 2-3 weeks, usually on a flatground pop shuv or something equally ridiculous.

On the other hand, the recipe for making a board last up to 2 months and never actually snap is treating the grip like a public bathroom stall, by offering any random jabroni I'm drinking with a white paint marker to draw something on it.

DC shoes are quality and have been treating me good over the past year. Designs are hit and miss but their soles and Super Suede lasts forever. And there are 101 colorways of the Kalis Vulc, always good to see Kalis getting paid.

i always use a file to clean off the edges of the board after cutting the griptape with razor blades..

hate when anyone stands on my board but me, pink top plies, black wheels, nose/tail chips etc. to me this seems like obvious shit, some of ya'll are trippin on some pretty innocuous shit

No graphics or cut outs on griptape, never had a good experience with those. The 2 times I rode boards with graphic / cut out griptape the decks felt horrible or they didn't last.

i had been skating some slightly worn down 54mm f4 classics with bronson raws in them.  i changed to a new pair of 52mm f4 classics with bones swiss and my whole set up feels more carvy.  i dont really understand how since the trucks have remained unchanged, but i took a cruise this morning and felt noticeably less stable, not sure how i feel about it yet lol

every set of bearings i try to care for seems to fall apart after 3 months. almost every set of bearings that i just don't care about and popped the shields off runs mostly fine for years. 

i have no explanation for this.

What is your maintenance methodology?
