Indian Food
« on: September 16, 2021, 12:33:38 PM »
So I just searched and didn't find any threads about Indian food. So I figured I'd start one. I don't eat any other meat besides seafood on occasion. So Indian food offers me plenty of options as far as vegetarian and vegan dishes. I thought this would be a good place for anyone who's a fan, to post their favorite dishes and snacks in hopes of finding new things to try. So far there's not much that I've had that I didn't like. I'd also recommend going to an Indian grocery store if you've never been to one. There's a whole other world of things you've probably never seen or heard of.

Been a Saag slut since trying it for the first time at the daily lunch buffet at Earthen Jar in Ann Arbor, MI

Indian food is the best to cook at home because it fills your place with delicious smells.

Love Indian food, even if most of it is Pakistani-style sate-side; after spending time in India very few places in the states are up to par.

It's all about Vindaloo.

This Dosa House in Queens looks legit. Located in the basement of a Temple. Definitely wanna hit it up on my next trip into New York.

lamb or goat vindaloo is absolutely incredible. Butter chicken is always my go to if I'm feeling boring but when I want to get a little zesty vindaloo is where it's at. Honorable mention to Palak Paneer for sure.
Look I'm not selling anything that doesn't have my jizz on it. I don't care how much is offered.

Not just snacks in providence is good and cheap. real good

Himalayan Bistro, West Roxbury, MA is my all time favorite. Veggie dinner for 2- samosa x2, soup x2, appetizer x2, entree x2, chai x2, dessert x2. $45 or so. If you get the free VIP card or whatever, for every $100 spent, you get 30% off or something like that. Suuuuper awesome spot we used to go dine in at when living in Boston.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. Hopefully you find a place that makes great dosas soon. I'm glad this video helped you remember what they're called.

wow I love Indian food. My favourite is just to hit up a buffet and try everything

Butter chicken, jalfrezi, vindaloo and aloo gobi are the favs. Naan is essential

The spicier the better

This thread has inspired me to get an authentic Indian cookbook and go to India town to get some authentic spices to make my home cooking better. I do make a mean chicken curry already..

Vindaloo for me too. Turnt up as possible.

Also, put vindaloo seasoning in your scrambled eggs, then thank me later.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

Alright, I do love good authentic Indian food, but hear me out here… Ikea actually has pretty bomb butter chicken and rice in the restaurant area sometimes.

I'm bumping this cause I've been on an Indian food kick

I get the spiciest chicken vindaloo I can, I fucking love that shit and can just eat the sauce.

Got some last night and it was delicious. Also got a side of the onion chutney, I love that too and can eat it straight. The dal soup is delicious, tried the tomato soup and it was also delicous.

My go to side is the onion bhaji. They're like little onion fritters with this tamarind dipping sauce. It also has this green dipping sauce that I think is some kind mustard greens or something. I want to try the dal tadka next time.
