I’m reading possible retaliation on Schefter for reporting on deflategate. I don’t know how much of a burn it really is, not like there’s that much integrity in sports journalism.

Get hungry on it!

The Super Bowl is on NBC, so no Romo and Nantz, but at least we don’t need to listen to Joe Buck!

So much insane shit went down today.
Daboll to the giants
Raiders hired McDaniels for some insane reason
Tom Brady may or may not retire
Evan McPherson spoke a Bengals super bowl into existence
Mahomes got cute with it and choked
Obj got traded to the super bowl
Jimmy g busted like he did all over that porn star

Now that we know who's in the sb and we know a bunch of qbs retired (or maybe not) what do you guys think is gonna happen?
No chance sf keeps Jimmy g. Do they hunt for Rodgers or Wilson?
Do the Raiders keep carr?
What the fuck is supposed to happen with the saints?
Does davonte Adams deserve 30 mil a year?

SF is 100% Trey Lance's team next year. You don't trade picks to move up and select a qb 3rd overall and then not give them at least a year to see what you have. They're probably intending to be the 2020 ravens all over again and run 50 times a game while he develops. Not a bad idea with their line and scheme. On tape I thought he was the most impressive qb (yes, even better than Trevvie poo) in the draft but obviously that doesn't always translate to the pros.

I doubt Rodgers is going anywhere. He'll do his drama queen bullshit to try and leverage jobs for people who won't challenge him and his buddies (cough Randall Cobb cough) but he's not walking away from a perennial playoff team and the best wr in the league The only job I would maybe see him actually taking would be the SF one but again they've invested way too much in Lance to do anything else next year. He'll come back and they'll franchise tag Adams (who deserves to be the highest paid WR in the league, so whatever that is). Now that I've said that he's 100% going to TB to replace Brady.

Carr I think stays. That's his team and I respect him for that. Side note you missed amongst the choas - Grudens last first rounder just "gun and drugs-ed" himself out of the league after already being cut from LV for waving a gun and threatening someone on social media. Chucky really did a number on that team, which is precisely what anyone outside of their front office thought would be the result when they gave him that contract.. Just no one expected it to happen that fast.

Saints and Steelers are set for potentially painful rebuilds. Doesn't help there's a dearth of qb talent in the draft either. I'm thinking that they either bring back Winston on a show me or go big and try to land Watson. He would conceivably be the best fit assuming Michael Thomas ever gets healthy (remember what Watson did with Hopkins who is a similarly physical possession WR) and/or they grab a WR in the high- mid rounds. There's a lot of WR talent in that part of the draft this year and Callaway just ain't cuttin it right now.

I don't know what the fuck happened to Mahomes. He got completely shook for seemingly no reason and all second half he was missing easy throws and then started to do the same nervous tap-dancing shit he did in the SB last year. I really, really, really hate to say it but I think it's the bengals year. The rams have been shaky all postseason and I have a bad feeling Mcvay will try to big brain it too hard and fall flat on his face again.

Re: saints, it's obviously impossible to replace Payton, but if they nail their coach hire, any chance Russ could make the noise necessary to spring from old ass Pete? I think he'd fit in the system super well if the saints go with Dennis Allen and value as much continuity as they can with that roster. Especially if they nail this draft being so WR deep, it's potentially a nice landing spot

Really curious to see if they fully hand the keys to trey on SF. Jimmy has to be gone for sure right?

I hope carr stays as well, but i think they're going to be a disaster with McDaniels. I don't think he's learned any lessons since his disastrous Denver hire and faking out the Colts. Never change Raiders

I wonder where Flores goes?

Steelers are about to enter a world of pain.

Also my heart wants the Bengals, but I'm terrified of Aaron Donald and von Miller going up against this Bengals oline. I don't see zac Taylor pantsing McVay and this roster. Rams are really fucking stacked on offense and defense. Bengals defense is insane, but so is the Rams. I think the Rams are going to win but I'm rooting for the Bengals

Always disliked Shefty for no reason now I have a reason. As a panthers fan it would’ve been so sweet to see the saints and bucs crumble in the same week. I think Tom’s retirement will be announced in episode 10 of man in the arena. Anybody else been watching that?

As for the games this weekend and last they were so good it really has me questioning if this shit really is scripted. Regardless this might be the best playoffs of all time. Don’t remember the last super bowl that I’d be hyped on either team winning.

So glad I don’t have to see the insufferable duo of Brittney and Jackson Maholmes anymore this season! That little prick should’ve never danced on Sean Taylor’s memorial.

adam shefter is a dork, nobody likes Aaron Rodgers,  Joe Burrow is ice cold, Mathew Stafford is a closet hall of famer, Big Ben is a fat rapist who found god, Josh Mcdaniels and Billy B were propped up by Tam Brady's greatness, Deshawn watson needs a doctors note for his message's, Zack wilson has a punchable face, Lamar Jackson is descending and should have locked a contact when he was worth something to somebody. It's looking like an AFC domination for the next 5-10 years and it's gonna be Patrick Mahommes and Josh Allen in the drivers seat moving forward.

Tom’s officially done. The end of an era, 22 seasons, 7 Super Bowls, 1 Instagram post.
