Yellow top, pink bottom. I like bright colors. I’ll skate anything though. Natural is my least favorite but that works well with some graphics so it’s all good in the end. Two tone and all the other weird shit is rad too.

Purple is the best.

I will not ride a board with a red or orange top ply.

Plain bottom ply just irritates me.

I feel like I never saw any bright colors on the limo boards I've seen - I wonder if they requested that.

Teal top is my fav. So is bottom.

I also like yellow tops and yellow bottoms.

Seriously, anything else makes your board look like shit after one session once your grip starts getting messed up.
The only color I refuse to skate, however, is that baby diarrhea green that so many decks have. Fuck that.

For the bottom ply, anything that is in contrast with the graphic, so everyone will see the marks and notice how balanced your nose slides are and get super stoked on you as a person.

I had an oldschool shape birdhouse board. Full dipped blue and the bottom ply was also blue. Looked good when the graphic started to wear.

Dark plies on top Green, purple, brown are my favorite.

Bright colors are ok on the bottom, no specific preference but i want it to contrast the graphic well.

No bright red or pink top plies. *shudder*

Top: Black, brown, grey stains. I will not ride a deck with yellow top stain. Despise them.

Bottom: Something that is a good color contrast with the graphics, and pops when paint gets worn off.

My crew was getting boards made by drifter mfg in Georgia for a while and he had the most PERFECT dark green/brown/purple stains.

purple is my favorite for top or bottom but not both, not a fan of matching top/bottom stains. I like green tops too, or dark blue.

also fuck with split veneers, had a krooked board with split veneer bottom, FA used to do them too. thought they looked pretty sick.

I like purple because its my second favorite color. I like green less although it's my favorite color. Pink is pretty cool too. I mostly just like to visually change it up a bit. Deck will feel more new even though it's almost always the same shape.

I was surprised when people wore the paint off them, as that sort of board were not usually stained.

Blue = Hawk shape
Red = Barbee shape
White = Cab shape

Most people who had them painted over the graphics anyway, at least around here and I really only got them in the shop for the shapes to begin with.

They skated well too.

Top: never red. Turquoise would be my favorite.

Bottom: I like darker colors there if it's a stain, but if its paint in general I prefer green or light blue if its the background of a graphic.
