Breckinridge, CO

Going to Breckinridge, CO for Christmas. Are skateparks usually covered in snow by then? I was hoping to hit Edwards, Frisco, and Fairplay.

Depends, it's been dry/warm so far entering into winter in Colorado. No big snow fronts yet. If you do have to shovel, it should dry out pretty quick though.

Don’t waste your time going to edwards. The coping is in all of the bowls is so rusted that it won’t even grind and the street course is really poorly designed. I’d stick to the team pain parks.
Never been in winter but I’ve heard they dig up places to skate in the park.

breck is a higher elevation town than most. that park will more than likely be covered by Christmas time.

I'd say try and hit Golden skatepark down near denver , frisco will probably be covered too .

we started shoveling our park in Steamboat two years ago. this year that shit is bone dry at the moment, but we are looking at some storms next week. Friends shoveled almost the entire winter last year as we had a pretty shitty start like this one, so I'd expect some to keep shoveling it out.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Sounds like the Breckenridge area is going to be snowed out. I’m going to be driving from Seattle though, so I’m sure there will be plenty of dry parks along the way.

You should be fine. I have a group of friends that transplanted out there years ago & they are always skating parks, pretty much any time of the year. Hit Golden Park for certain. That was my favorite park when I was out there.

it must be crazy when chico sells you something and the tables switch from "give me my money chico" to "giving my money to chico"
