That's got to be a cheeky nod to his "lack tastefulness" comment on that trick in that jenkem piece. If so, I respect the self awareness.

Courthouse to Blubba was so spicy. Also loved that he ripped a switch front 180 off the second drop, so few people have done anything off the second drop aside from him.

That being said, I’m also liking his skating less and less these days. That second line was brutally calculated and rigid feeling. Like, just ease up and cruise around man, not everything is a fuckin literary math equation. You don’t have to ollie on to each little step because you can, just push and look fluid instead.

I was watching this thinking ”I dare anyway say this is robotic or uninspiring”…
And it seems no one definitely was saying that.

Mr. Suciu......I-I kneel. Courthouse to blubba line was super sick; loved the boardslide to tail slide.

It's funny you say that because that actually stood out to me as really dope lol like obviously he could've just ollied straight onto that ledge from flat but he chose to ollie onto the step to quick ollie up the ledge instead and i thought that was cool as shit haha i get why it might seem a little too prescribed for some folks but that shit's tight as hell to me. i think there's enough room in skateboarding for both people like mark who skate very intentionally and people who have a more fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants spontaneous vibe. different strokes i guess!

This is how I’ve felt about his skating the past few years. I like the quick feet lines, but I swear he used to do it more tastefully. His Cross continental/sabotage era parts are really good.

SOTY and it's not even close

this and the habitat part sealed the deal, that noseblunt at the four minute mark was absolutely gorgeous - beautifully executed and somewhat surprising in the flow of the line

I haven’t gotten hyped on this fool probably since Sabo days and I disliked everything about the audiovisual perpetration that was Verso, but this part had a lot of extremely dank skating, hardly any boring clips and more than a few mind-blowing ones. Miss me with the b&w mirror lines and Twister shit, this was dope.

Geez. Well that should put the kibosh on the SOTY debate.

He killed the courthouse/blubba just as hard as Knox killed that stair spot. That huge back smith was hell ride af

So many neat little surprises in this part! And some bigger ones, too. Love the fast and casual Bs 180 to Fakie Manual after the Fs Boardslide down that sketchy handrail. Courthouse destruction was unexpectedly heavy. And the ender is the trick Blubba has been waiting for without anyone knowing. Except Mark, apparently.

Ride-on fakie 5-0 180 was weirdly awesome. Seems dangerous.

I feel the opposite, it looks free flowing and fun. It’s often not difficult stuff but looks like it would be enjoyable to do. Tom Knox does the same thing sometimes and it feels more relatable to me than 3 tricks in a row on 3 of the same ledges.

but also this:

I don't want to see anyone but Max skate that fountain spot.

The only negative thing I have to say:

Did I miss something about the feeble at the 1:36 mark?

That was incredible. Love when people do stuff off the courthouse besides just ride off, and he owns blubba.

I for one like seeing someone besides the guy with coolguy sponsors skating that fountain spot

The line on that skinny ledge ending with the tre flip off the curb was something only he could do. Also he was going damn fast on that back blunt then back overcrook on the kink rail spot. Truly great part and the song/editing was up to par this time. Please be the year...
