his tricks look like a cartoon where the character throws a sandwich in the air and it reveals all the contents of said sandwich, but then it lands back on the table like a normal sandwich

Yep. He got robbed when Milton won it, in my opinion, and i can't really think of anyone more deserving.

I think the most profitable choice for SOTY is Yuto considering he's pretty much the biggest skater in the world right now. It would be awesome if they picked Mark instead though, he's a way more interesting skater to watch than Yuto in my opinion.

Please stay forever Lhotse I love you.

Great part. The courthouse/blubba line was epic. Plus he violated his own rule, which was pretty cool. Yes, give him SOTY.

is it really that uncommon in america to have a degree and be sponsore? because its annoying that it keeps being brought up everytime when it comes to his skating.

people love spactacular parts for soty contenders. big rails and gaps or massive pop. this was very on point and had some serious bangers in there. he has such a easy style while doing some serious tech shit.

Yes FS180, it is indeed quite uncommon. Unlike Deutschland, Uni in America is typically very expensive and requires people to either come from generational wealth or to take out loans (from the government or private banks). The private loans are often very enticing but also predatory, though Americans have a pathological obsession with the free market and often choose the latter.

Unless uncle Fred puts out all his footage then yes. That part was fucked up. Looking forward to watching it on something better than my shitty phone tomorrow.

Mark is pushing the ride-on grind to new heights. Really sick part. I liked that he used a different genre of music too. Give him SOTY already!

The only drawback to Suciu footage is that he makes it look too easy. His skating is incredibly effortless. If his board got a little squirrelly after the switch 180 off courthouse, or if he squatted extra low and let his hand drag the pavement on a few of these clips it might tip the scales.

Basically, Suciu doesn't seem theatrical enough for Thrasher. There needs to be some blood spilled or, hell, a few dirty sweat-soaked shirts to make an impression on the Mag darkmen.

This is partially why his skating just generally doesn't do anything for me emotionally, it just kind of feels like doing lines in THPS or something. Idk, there's more going on subconsciously that I can't quite put my finger on but yeah, I agree.

Mark deserves the nod, can't really think of another skater that has put out 3 parts this year. On the other side, Yuto is definitely still in the running. Especially if he has more footy lurking in the shadows

Damn! that was way better than that curve part. When he put that last one out, it was pretty clear he was pushing for SOTY, this part basically verifies that. I really enjoyed this despite not liking curve very much. In regards to Yuto, i feel like mark has a more interesting trick/line selection, but yuto looks better on his board imo, more fluid. The tricks mark does probably plays a part in that though, hard to look fluid when you're twisting back and forth on everything and doing another difficult twisty trick in quick succession afterwards. Really fell like its a toss up between those two. At the end of the day though, if i'm really being honest with myself, I'd still rather hangout with KB for the weekend.
