I dont get it, has everyone forgot about chimas part already?
His part was constant bangers
[close]

I think people expect the SOTY to be quality + quantity + consistency + a certain hellride quality

Chima has everything but the quantity, didn't he only release the one part this year?
[close]

I think Chima should get Soty. Tricks are NBD on gnarly stuff. Just wish the part was a better edit.

Not sure how many videos he's done this year.  but man is like early 30s and each part he does out does the previous video.

If suciu didn’t get it for verso he shouldn’t get it for whatever throw away shit he’s put out, suciu is skateboarding gentrification personified, who else gets his sponsors to pay him to post up in different cities so he can cosplay as a local and get all this insane footage , I didn’t like it when he did it in philly and I don’t like it when he does in in NYC, iono verso was a great representation of his skating, and if that wasn’t enough for thrasher to give you soty then walk away bub, you seem desperate, skating Max’s spot tryin to keep his relevancy……it lacks taste

Lol I've read his comment 3 times now.

Dude just posted the job description for every professional skateboarding sponsorship ever.

That's what they're all supposed to do. Travel and film. It's just jarring cos Mark is one of the few pros that lives up to the obligations of his employer.

No, you don't understand. You see, he *lived* there. What is important to acknowledge here is that no one is ever allowed to leave their hometown, lest they gentrify a toy.
This is not my SOTY. I'm telling my kids there was no SOTY for 2021

Has Shane O'Neill ever put out a part?

Are you serious?

A few of many, the dude's a machine.

Come on man, that second video specifically says it's NOT a Shane part.

Nobody wants to read anymore.
Oh, the places you'll go.

Great part. The courthouse/blubba line was epic. Plus he violated his own rule, which was pretty cool. Yes, give him SOTY.

Which rule?

Not sure if I just haven’t really cared much the last few years but this years SOTY really feels like an actual competition and it has me hyped to find out who wins.

Because some believe Mark does't take chances like the legendary Jeremey Klein and his epic poster of skating a blockbuster sign over a water tower while putting deodorant on his pits and chesty

Pretty sure you meant to type Xgames, not Mark. Dr Sewchu was in diapers when the xtreme overloads invaded.

"To theorize a creative production that is not completely objective, including taking account you as a person and your body as an object, it’s a complex thing. Your body moving in space while carrying out the things your mind tells it to do is much more difficult to understand than writing your idea of art into a long tapestry, however that may be."

Withholding my final verdict/ruling on the matter until after I’ve heard @lk130 weigh in.
Then, and ONLY then, shall it be decided.

Chima probably, I would not doubt it.
That Pedro part is still like my favorite even though the Dw video was way earlier in the year it was amazing

Is that a Suciu quote? I couldn’t read the whole thing without physically wincing. Get the Foucault away from him immediately.

Composition programs were so much better when everyone was just trying to be Raymond Carver.

God damn! Can’t help but think that string of 270 rail tricks was a deliberate swing at Yuto. Yuto does em on bigger shit, but some of these other rail moves are probably NBD? Can barely keep track of em tbh.
