Ben is slowly but surely winning me over. He's overdoing his schtik so hard, so deadpan and with such a conviction that it's becoming admirable. Otoh, if it really his normal demeanor and quirks, than it's awesome, true weirdo. Doesn't hurt that he rips.

i had this realization probably a year ago, i really don't think it's a schtick, like you say he has been keeping it up too long for it to be fake. it really is just him. definitely one of the weirdest and best dudes on a skateboard right now, not one single dude like him in the entire culture. in my opinion he really is like on that Muska tier of true american weirdo that, thank fuck, happens to ride a skateboard and happens to have a camera around to document most of the time.
