He’s the originator of sketchy gap landings, that big ass gap he did at Dos Pueblos high is gigantic went there to meet a friend at the high school.

Fuck eltoro this dude had it in spade’s with gaps and gnarliness, he should’ve gotten more shine.

Thank you OK Boomer for this thread and the links, such amazing stuff.

What he was doing in Public Domain was so far ahead of all the pros in that video, even ahead of Mike V who was having his break out part.  Hill and Barbee are the real stand outs in this video.

Frankie Hill is on mount rushmore for sure

And how about the fact that Gonz wanted him on bLind?

Hope this thread goes on for a while

(Is there bonus footage anywhere of that last rail in Ban This?)

I think the Bulldog was the best Powell Peralta deck along with the Ray Barbee ragdoll. I notice he sells the Bulldog to overseas customers. He definitely deserves some money from his legacy.

I just watched this last night. Kickflips stairs, kickflips into a grind down a ledge and kickflips a roof gap I believe. WAY ahead of his time. Plus obviously the gaps and rails. If Hill had gone to Blind, I wonder how it would have gone for him. I even enjoy his crazy triple flips era. I've talked to him a couple of times on IG and he is a super nice guy, which makes him cooler. Me and my buddy Eric (RIP) used to watch his part and just be like "what the hell?". We were psyched on Vallely and Barbee for sure, but Hill was my man from Public Domain for sure.

I had the Frankie Hill board with the Van Gogh ear on the nose. Loved that shape.

I have a pretty damn mint condition OG bulldog at my moms house in the Midwest. Any idea what people would pay for it? I don’t follow the board collecting scene.

They’ve been selling around the $200-$300 range depending on condition, which is wild considering how much the other Powell boards go for. Chewed up Hawks go for nearly a G

I know a few guys who live and breath this stuff, so DM me if you ever think of selling it.
