ha, i appreciate the kooks for pointing out the obvious fact that i still stand behind. i’m not hating on the shop or any core shop, and that was the furthest thing from my point. my point was, if you work at such a well renowned skateshop, wouldn’t you think that you would do your homework and maybe not post a photo of one of the most legendary skateboarder’s board on a new company that has yet to be announced? do you think this was the only shop to receive this board “prematurely”? it’s funny to blame it on april’s shipper, as if this is the one and only shop he mailed to too early? sorry if this is your local and i wasn’t trying to talk shit on them as a whole, just seems like a rookie move to me. it’s like when they posted jack o gradys board too soon, except a way larger scale. this is guy mariano, and the announcement was probably coming with this part, right before soty announcement. it was a pure and utter fuck up.

It def was a fuck up but everyone has already been seeing him riding April boards for months now. It’s 2021, secrets can’t really be kept. I don’t really see why it matters anyway, it’s not going to take away from the view count or likes for April.
I don’t really see the point these days in holding out if/when something is ready.

Why are people bummed on Guy going to a company run by a an actual skater  (an amazing one) who has for the most part only used it as a platform to put on people overlooked by other skate companies.

Yes April with Ish Cepeda and Ronnie Kesner are amazing without Guy Mariano. I don’t mean any disrespect to either of those skaters but I don’t think they’re going to become the new Guy or Eric. He should’ve gone to primitive I’m guessing April shelled out more.

Yeah, they were selling his boards. And he had the status to milk it. Fair. They didn’t sell his board for awhile when he was going through his troubles. But I wouldn’t say that they were awful to him. For all the shit Crail gets around here, those dudes were pretty loyal to be people that didn’t put out a ton of production.

As to the 4 Star (equity) stuff, that’s debatable. Not to say that I wouldn’t have feelings about it if I were Guy or Eric. But if those two were done wrong they should’ve sued. There any obvious rift there but neither has said anything really strong about it.

Doing business with friends and family is generally not healthy for relationships.
