hot take incoming but these shoes do not look that good. you can definitely tell he was influenced by that tyshawn shoe. With that being said i will more than likely buy the white colorway and rewatch whatever footage Ishod puts out to go along with this

They're already in shops, saw them at Humidity, they look like 1999 Osiris or Es that were slimmed down to a vans era. not terrible and I can see them working for kids who want that 90's look but can't actually deal with a puffy shoe. it is weird that the ISHOD logo looks like an Osiris logo.

I'm not into the Force 58s, they look like some slipper company based in a country with absolutely no intellectual property laws wanted to make their own Dunks to leech off of sneakerheads. The Ishods look fine to me though, although I think the squiggly vent things look kind of weird. Hopefully in future releases they change up the design of those vents? I think that same thing but crosshatched instead of squiggly would look much better

I don't ever support Nike (for moral reasons, getting down from my high-horse now) but objectively, in regards to the shoe's design, it's pretty damn ugly. A mesh or even perforated leather side panel would have been better IMO. I guess that squiggly bit's supposed to give them a bold, cutting edge modern look but I'm not seeing it. They also appear to be pretty narrow, too pointy for my liking. They do kind of look like an Es shoe from say around 3-5 years ago.

I do appreciate the lace-savers though; frankly more skate shoes oughtta have them.

 I've been stuck on the Es swift's lately (really great all around cupsole, light but durable and they don't need breaking in) and originally bought them just to check the lace-savers out. I know, I'm weird, but I tear laces more than anyone I know and while laces are practically free my time is not. All that said they're not really a whole lot better looking then these Ishod's.

My thoughts exactly. Thought I might get used to the look of the wave panel by now, but nope. And the bit of wave panel at the base of the laces looks incongruous with the rest of the tongue/lace section. The overall design is way too busy--cheap looking wave panel + swoosh on toe + Ishod on tongue is overkill.

All that being said, can't wait for whatever promotional footy Ishod drops.

Eh I don’t really like em. They look like something from 2002, which isn’t a bad thing. Can’t put my finger on it, but like a lakai mixed with a savier maybe. The little swoosh and osirishod logo is tacky. Not to mention the wavy part that reminds me of Austin powers circular velvet bed or something.
