Places You Can Skate After Dark In NYC
« on: February 02, 2023, 08:31:42 AM »
I need help finding a relatively safe and well lit place to skate after work. I used to skate LES at night, but a couple nights in a row the lights haven't come on. I'm sorry if this shouldn't have been posted, but I'm getting desperate.

For sure. I just try to go at night once most of the people are gone.

Pier 76 has lights, ledges, smooth ground, and a curb.

The financial district as a whole, especially the blocks near South St seaport are really well lit at night and smooth; some of them are also blocked to traffic. Zucotti Park near the Wall St. bull statue is well lit and has a plaza style surface; as someone mentioned- some of the piers near there have some nice things to skate…etc.
-I have seen a lot of ppl skating at Wash Sq Park late at night. It’s well lit and has the fountain and some trash cans, but of course thousands of tourists and cops too.
