not tryina defend the berrics at all here but the rule is "no doing tricks that slide on the ground if your opponent popped his trick", which maybe could be considered a bit ambiguous, but imo it means that, for instance, if your opponent does a pop shove-it and pops it, you can't do a dinky little shuv and not pop it. if the tail/nose slaps the ground on the setting trick, it's gotta slap the ground on defense too. i think the rule would be written differently if it was intended to mean that you couldn't pivot or powerslide the rest of the way on spin tricks and probably wouldn't reference "popped his trick" because that issue isn't regarding whether it was popped or not, it's whether it was fully rotated in the air before landing back on the ground. they're two different things imo
