If you’ve seen my posts before I started posting again (I haven’t posted on Slap since probably 2018), I lived with/am one of the Fancy Lad heads - not on the team or whatever, had joke-y parts in the old videos.

Anyway, Fancy Lad has a podcast. If nobody’s posted it in this thread or aware of it, there’s a Gifted Hater episode. Seems like a really cool guy, I gotta listen to the episode again.

Local Joe means well, but a decent portion of his videos are clickbait-y. The trick tips sometimes have interesting gems in there, but are often based on a few clips, he goes and tries the thing he talks about but actually does the trick almost the same as before, then either kinda does a few or doesn't. The 10 day tre flip series was a good example. I'm not sure why he needs a Patreon paywall for this content now. He has a few videos where he just rambles about skate news that get recommended in my feed and I can't for the life of me think of someone who would consider Local Joe an insider or having an original take.

No, but fun fact! Orange Man and I met eachother in the college dorm we both lived in. This was when he was just Abe, pre-orange. We were young and skated, smoked pot and went to parties. Abe had not found his creative orange self yet, he just had real chill style and would do nollie front 360s & switch back bigspins on flat, lots of good wallies. I lived with Bigzo and a bunch of other people and Abe met him through me!

Fast forward all these many years, Abe went orange one year (we both had a tenure at the FL mansion, his room was right next to mine… I forget if he turned orange before he moved into the house or was still transitioning) and has just been becoming more creative and making positive art each year.

nah it's pretty believable, i did a flatground nollie inward heel, then i couldn't do another one for the longest time, learned it off a bump in a few tries, now it just works. he probably tried it a few times before but really gave it a honest attempt.
