I guess we need a grindcore thread...
[close]
yes pls

I'm not even really a big grindcore fan so perhaps I'm not the best person to be starting this topic, but anyways here we go because it's not quite metal, not exactly hardcore and not really punk... (although I do like my grind to have punk-ish/ political lyrics)

(ex-swallowing shit who are probably my fav grind band of all time)

a slap pal introduced to this one and I haven't been this hyped on a band in I can't even remember how long

duh

Where as I like my grind ignorant, irrelevant, and kinda slammy.

About to see these dudes soon cuz they’re from Denver

it must be crazy when chico sells you something and the tables switch from "give me my money chico" to "giving my money to chico"

I like a lot of grind bands that could also be classified as other stuff if you are one of those genre people..

And just because I like to mention them any time I can, I'm a huge fan of the Accused who in my opinion had influence on grind or vice versa

Narcosis long split up band from the UK. One of the best live bands I’ve ever seen. Also interesting from the thread how grind crosses multiple genres and what different people consider to be a grind band.

See I knew I shouldn't have been the one to start this because I'm really fussy about what I like and what I don't ...

Arguably my favorite grind release of all time

funny you mention them, I absolutely adore this record

How did you find out about them since I’m assuming your not Aussie? I used to have their demo tape too, but alas it got lost in the mix...
Not grind, but members of AOA play in another indie band from Aus called My Disco, check them out too!

yeah, I definitely have my own definition(s) but I wanted to keep it more general. I guess it's bound to happen because grind is already a mix of other genres anyway.
This was the band that made me a grind covert:

everything post 'from enslavement...' by napalm death sux. Carcass rules but I would barely classify em as grindcore after reek of putrefication

The record with the foldout face hugger was so sick. Can't think of many other cool novelty things like that on records

They had records out on 625 and deep six so I lurked through the blogspots to find them around 07-08 I absolutely fell in love.

SFN! Speed Trialz was a loosely judged contest that brought in some amazing bands from all over to blast for 15 minutes each. These dudes blew the doors off.
