The only reason you should have rails on your board is if you're consistently boardsliding unwaxed, virgin, curbs and ledges.

One time I overheard some dude recommend an older beginner skater to get some rails to learn back boards on a curb which is waxed to shit and appears to have coats of lacquer on it. I hope that dude did not take their advice/did not die.

Finally got some period correct wheels for my 80's setup, Madrid Fly wheels. The Slime Balls I had on it before weren't made till 1987 and that's too far of from '85. They're 90D which is softer then I like to skate so we'll see how long I'll rep them. Been so hard not to buy yellow PVC off of amazon to make matching coppers

That's the only way I could get up curbs in the 80s when I couldn't ollie. Just lift up, smash that curb, ride on up. Pretty easy way to break the lappers though. That's okay, those things are fucking dumb.

Rails are fucking awesome though. Boardslides are fun as fuck, rails can make them even longer and funner. What's the problem?
