quite a few companies used tumble for their blog sections back in the day. I remember Caste quality did this as well

Lol. Eldee is definitely a human. He’s like a raider on horse back who’s kinda scared to do battle. Somehow he closes his eyes and swings his sword wildly and wakes up in a pile of dead orcs.

They recently closed their accounts at some skate shops with no warning. Odd.

Yeah I loved their skate line, the quality is nuts.  Bummer they're gone.

Was good stuff. Still have a couple pairs, they were my dailies for awhile. Wish I could still get a couple pairs.

They tried releasing edits but for some reason went far left w. the marketing, I remember seeing like one video. .They just didn't get better skaters to ride for it

Their pants were very high quality, probably the best pants ever put out by Levi's who are undoubtedly the most successful pantmakers in human history..

I heard from a very legit source, that in the beginning of their skate program, or maybe even before they started, Dylan approached Levi's to either ride for them, or to work with them on their skate program. And they turned him down...

I'm going to go ahead and say 'that's what happened' to Levi's Skateboarding.. kinda fucked from the get go with those kind of decision making skills, regardless of having some of the deepest pockets out there.

I have a couple of their work pants and carpenter pants and I wish I bought more of them, they are tough as fuck. That cordura shit really works.

Over priced & probably didn't see an immediate dollar return on the investment.
They did some good DIY projects in New Zealand after a earthquake from memory

I know Levi’s slashed a bunch of jobs in their sf headquarters but beyond that not sure. Lost a lot of money due to covid and shelved a bunch of plans company wide. Seems like they’re currently focusing on the euro side of things with Levi’s sb, maybe the offices over there have taken over

Their insta is still active. Tumblr is generally dead

nothing's been the since same

do you only skate jeans if marketed as "skater jeans with a team"? because I couldn't give a fuck less if my pants have a skateboard team. Levis still makes great jeans so who cares? buy them. I would even go as far as saying buy every Levis jeans except the ones marketed as skateboarding jeans.
companies like carhartt or Levis make usually good quality clothes with strong fabrics without even having skating in mind. everyone should try to not wear a single skateboard brand ones from top to the shoes. you'll be amazed how amazing regular clothing works for skating.  sometimes much better quality wise than some vulc enties and some rvca pants

This came out last month, seems like they are more Euro focused and they release fairly often from what I can tell in UK shops. Great video too.

Charles Lamb 26 minutes in mentions he was laid off from the Levis skate program so I wouldn't be surprised if that was a ubiquitous experience for most of their staff and riders

The guy who convinced Levi's to do a skate program and then ran it left at some point around 5 or 6 years ago. I remember after that the marketing and their drops became smaller and smaller. He started a new jeans company named 1989 or something like that, don't think it ever took off. The logo was 4 dots, spaced out like the bottom of a baseplate.

How is this relevant. They had like a team. Their skate product provided something that you could barely find anywhere else. Seems like you're just trying to get a holier-than-thou gotcha in and missing the point entirely

Levis is one of the hardest brands to get to take advice on common sense things, it's like they want to waste the product

If you have an insane girlfriend who's into old shit and dressing up like the 1940s look up levis LVC. They use all the old patterns from their founding through to the 70's to make reproductions of their old jeans. Only bummer is they're like $200 a pop

how am I missing the point? they are gone (you could stop the thread here). and to think they provided some never before seen jeans is false and stupid. you find good fitting pants everywhere. the pants Vincent touzery wears and everyone seemed to discuss aren't skate pants they are regular Levis. just trying to inform guys to get out of your "a real skater needs skate product" cycle. bet you sleep in a big skateboard bed and get incredibly mad when some of your guys dont eat shit an sleep skateboarding. "A SKATER CANT RAP!" "A SKATER CANT BE INTRESTED IN GAY STUFF" you can do what you want and you can wear what you want. if you get anxiety over your jeans not being skate jeans you are a complete gatekeeping idiot with zero talent except playing with your hobby toy.

I have 2 pairs of the work pants and a pair of jeans.  Super nice quality, and they've been holding up really well.
