when i first started skating, I would never skate anything other than blind decks. I was the biggest blind fanboy and this was long after blinds peak in popularity.

Yeah, I’m “loyal” to Polar insofar as they make a few skateboard shapes from high quality wood that I regularly enjoy.
This is not my SOTY. I'm telling my kids there was no SOTY for 2021

I guess you could say I’m “loyal” to Chico Brenes’ Chico stix project because I stocked up on boards and have bought some other product from him. The shape is great and I’m a huge fan of Chico, so why not

I go through long streaks with brands. I was riding Workshop/Habitat for five years. Then I was riding anything Kayo for even longer. Nowadays it’s Politic and been riding them since their inception

Nothing. Ha. I use whatever I think is best. Right now that’s spitfires but if I try bones and prefer them bones it is. The only thing I think I’m loyal to in skateboarding is what wood manufacturer is used. Although next board I really wanna try that manufacturer that fortress is using so that’s my next deck probably.
Loyal to none avoid a fair amount of brands though.

Bones: Wheels, bearings, and bushings

Boards: DLX (Don't care which brand)

Grip: Jessup or Black Magic

Shoes: I might end up sticking with Adidas. I can't back the shit the "core" companies make anymore. I wore eS for a decade and then moved to Vans briefly and now I think I'm just going to buy 20 pairs of the same Adidas and wear them forever.

Brands should be paying me to be loyal to them.

I just use whatever works.

Vans, Indy, and spitfire. No other shoes trucks or wheels I have any desire to skate.

For the longest time Emerica - I just love the minimal branding, their team, the history, the way the shoes skate and just there overall identity in skateboarding.

spitfire because they’re the best wheels and if you say otherwise you’re lying to yourself

also i’ll always love toy machine and alien. both great in their prime but so sad now that it’s kinda cute

Swiss Bones are the truth. That's about it. Though I don't see myself buying anything other than spitfire in the near future either. Any brand that makes 8-8.25" decks less than 32" long from a reputable wood shop is fair game for me... as long as they aren't corny or run by a piece of shit

Heroin cos Fos is seriously the best and Live from antarctica blew my mind back in the day.

Rassvet cos they sponsor some of my favorite skaters and I like the aesthetics. It's also fun to browse the web for a 8.25 while trying not to trade a kidney for it.

Most of the times I'm broke so this doesn't apply. I skate whatever it's like 8.25ish.. just found out what a wheelbase was from the latest WKND video. Shout out Rory Milanes.

Besides that it's indys and spits and cons. Kinda curious to try Aces tho.
video tape yourself saving monks. dont just do it. make sure its caught on film.

Emerica, since I started skating in 2003. Ive had some other shoes, of course, but maybe 90% of shoes Ive bought in the last 19 years have been Emerica. Im 32 now, and my E pride is still strong, ha.

i've been trying other stuff out in the meantime but nothing comes close to spitfire f4s. i got a set of dialtones last year that was alright but then i got another set of f4s and they were so much better. over the last 6 or 7 years i had like 5 or 6 sets of f4s and maybe 3 sets of different wheels that i won or got for free but always quickly moved back to the spits.

bones/minilogo bearings

also i've been skating strictly shelltoes for the last 2 years and i'm going to stick with them unless i find halfcabs for cheap, but that's very unlikely
