FUCK I didn’t mean to man I’m sorry. I could have sworn that I did.

They sounded hella familiar but I had to go back and look it up. I think I had downloaded their split with majorca many many years ago. They were super sick, sounded very European. All that being said, I’m way more familiar with Australian grind/powerviolence.

Envy is also great, obviously. But don’t let them over shadow some of the other great Japanese bands, yo!

1000 travels of jawaharlal, sto cosi cosi, and sans visage are all also really sick Japanese bands worth listening to.

And yes, we will always have Spazz <3
Well I have like 9 Andy Anderson dated flight decks.

yay! sempai noticed me!
Yes, you are correct, split with majorca. I was never even into the genre but I saw them live and me and my friend literally had our jaws dropped! INTENSE! I'm actually trying to source some of their vinyl as we speak.

Funny about 1000 travels, I hear so much about them lately. Pretty easy for me to track down their stuff given their current location, will probs cop that album. Did you know about their previous band high hopes? I have a 7" in the mail as we speak.

Not sure if they should be classified as Aussie powerviolence but do you know about the pure evil trio?

How could I have missed this thread?

Big time 90s „screamo“ fan.
This was and still is one of my all time favs

Both sides makara and sharahzad - although the makara 7“ is way better than their songs on this 10“, but as a package, this rips

I wouldn't be honoring my role as an outspoken 'Virginia defined the post-hardcore sound of the 90s' zealot if I didn't post this one.

It's been a long time, since someone posted here.

A little shameless self promotion. I played drums in a euro screamo band in the late 90s / early 00s some of you might familair with / or interested in.

Today our discography got released, so in case anyone is interested you can grab a copy at the Zegema Beach bandcamp:

Sick dude- love the name.  Haven't heard you guys before but reminds me a lot of Philly screamo bands from that era like This Day Forward, A Life Once Lost, in a really sick way.  Awesome.  Is it going on Spotify?

Thanks, man. I only know the two bands you mentioned by name. I always thought that they were too „metal“ - I’ll check them out.

This should be on Spotify at some point, but it takes forever. The digital distributor is giving me a hard time uploading the stuff. Didn’t know that distributors could refuse a track, because the title was too generic. What a bunch of nonsense

They are definately more to the metal side-- but I think still in the screamo category at least by Philly 2000's standards.  Here are some more screamo bands to check out for the younger kids:

-Grade
-Poison the Well

Perhaps the best in the genre, though I could be proven wrong ha.

Grade is cool, but if I'm honest, i'd prefer some other Kyle Bishop bands a lot more such as Acrid or The Swarm. Both are the farthest from any screamo affiliation though.

Zann were cool. Played a couple of shows with them. Robert (the singer) now has a great record store in Berlin.

Louise Cyphre was also pretty fun

Yghartsyrt probably doesn't want to self promote too much, but Tristan Tzara discography up on Spotify.  I can't stop bumping the I've seen it all Bjork cover.

Are Your Arms are my Cocoon considering screamo these days?   This is the new screamoish band I've been hearing at local skateparks and in the younger skaters edits.  Pretty wild stuff.  Kind of math rocky as well.
