Creating a skateable Jersey Barrier from scratch?
« on: May 19, 2020, 05:10:35 AM »
When I mean from scratch I mean already made but with no tweeks. Not like I’m gonna mold the concrete myself.

There’s a lot of construction going on in my city and a couple streets away is a street that’s maybe quarter mile long of nothing but freshly dropped off barriers along the side of the road. How hard would it be to make one of those skateable? It’s on a street where 99% of all frats and sororities are and it’s the street next to a major university, so major diy won’t be possible.

I was thinking about going with a couple old shirts for the base, a yard advertisement sign for transition,  wax, and xtra heavy duty duct tape to keep everything in place.

Sound good? Do you have anything else you’d recommend? Thanks in advance!!

Sounds really easy to undo your work if you're not planning on redoing it every time you want to skate it.

You don't have to do anything to a barrier to make them skateable

Whatever you add just makes them easier to skate

I apologize for bumping old threads but this seems relevant:
