Fuck, I need to watch True Detective again.
You can model virtually anything imaginable as a wave function, or a combination of constructive and destructive interferences between a set of waves. I’d also argue that time is a sinusoidal function, but if you plot it over the quadrants of a Cartesian plane, you get a circle.
