Even the 3 flipper himself has to focus all different angles of the 3flip. Yeah it's a 360flip but was it steezy now is it bolts and is it popped or shld it be fakie or nollie or maybe even a fakie bigflip, just something a 3flipper might wana know? Ya know? Still tha best maneuver on flat imo
It has been nice not seeing every line with a 360 flip n it tho. .

If you think this is an underflip in any way whatsoever, you've never landed either a tre or any underflip. The only wrong thing about it is the disgusting exaggerated front foot catch

I swear this forum is so smooth brained sometimes that it actually lowered my own IQ.

Dudes really got me out here questioning if a 3 flip is a 3 flip.

im a big convert to using your front and back foot equally on 3flips, but that said i don't think he's gone all the way to underflip.

if you watch the way mullen does 360 underflips, you can see even without looking at his feet that the flip has a distinctly different looking rotation (you tend to 'see' the flip more as it's own motion than just part of the parcel of the 360). on felipe's the way the board itself flips, looks like a classic tre.

(i know it's out of kaspar so a bit different but 3.14 is a good example of what i mean)

[close]

that’s not a good example at all

2.02 then

yeah, i know it's a double, but ignore that. the point is on a 360underflip the flip part is more distinct from in a normal 3flip where it's sort of lost in the 360.

Stank leg exposed. Who cares how he flipped it, that stanky leg ruins it anyway.

Doing them that way robs the trick of basically everything that makes it look and feel cool, absolutely takes something wild and explosive when done well and just makes it more like a soggy fart.  No matter what, if you can do a tre like that, you can probably learn to pop them just by trying out different ways of setting up for it for a little bit.

Yeah, I was just going to say that if you compare how that guy who cut up his board did them to that Stefan video, the guy with the cut up board look way less controlled than Stefan. It looks like when you're not doing the distinct flick and instead relying on the back foot, it's like you're flinging it too hard to force the flip in. That's why that one kid can't seem to land straight. Since Stefan has a clear flick that is flipping the board, it looks way more in control. I know that's partly just how Stefan always looks, but if you think of anyone with a more obvious flick, they always look more in control.

No idea why Felipe's land straight though.

Looks like an underflip to me, definitely not a 360 flip

That would be a scoop sir. Just with extra sauce from the ankle flexibility. I bet if you looked at Luan or Lucas Puig's it'd look similar in slo mo.

It's low key a 360 pressure flip, doesn't really expose his tre flip though because he doesn't do it down stair sets like this, it's just a mess around flat ground trick.. It's a really fun trick though, i do a couple of these every day before i do my normal tre just because it's easy to pop and a good warm up.

Remember when Jaws rubbed dook on his leg and did a tre flip on KOTR? That was infinitely less disgusting than any of these spread-eagle atrocities.
