What tricks stand out from the last decade?
« on: April 26, 2022, 05:26:44 AM »
I couldn't add anything to what has already been said about the 4/20-part, but I've been going in the last week and thought about how T-funk's air over the china banks shouldn't be discussed as a trick of the year, but as one of the greatest tricks of the last decade (just to set a time frame).

What other tricks stand out to you, when you think of the last decade?

Oski's alley oop to nosebluntslide is a trick I think about a lot.

The heelflip ender from Mason Silva's Red Balloon part is still a clip I regularly think about. Apart from the spot itself being intense, the way he caught it and the filming really make it a brain-melter.

Edit: oh and that one kid that did a boardslide down the hubba with a 90 degree turn.

Taylor Kirby's huge kickflip in Uncrossed stands out, someone mentioned a heelflip and that immediately made me think of Louie Lopez's bigspin heel over that bump to street gap, and lastly I'll shoutout Tiago's nollie straight over the rail to 5050

Can't believe I forgot this. Burman has a few of those not even about a trick but just conquering a spot people have looked at forever like what if?..nah as if. Ollie into the second tunnel bank in Sydney, boardslide that double kink hubba with the gap in Melbourne. (That Tim Williams gap 5050d)

Raven tershy front grind that giant qp in china

Someone already said Clive's noseblunt down Staples Center but I also think his boardslide from water tower-to-water tower is insane.

Evan Smith's Ollie on the Bay Bridge followed by his arrest.

Trung Nguyen's curved rail darkslide.

I think the clip is a little older but CK1's bs tail-kickflip-bs tail. Kyle Walker's huge kinked rail 50-50. Ishod's kf back lip to end Chronicles 2. The Subway ollie in Tengu God of Mischief. Chima's recent kickflip over the gate. Along with some of the others already mentioned. Dane Burman's 50-50 to off that huge drop in Philly.

As lame as he is, Kyle Walker's 5050 down that one rail in front of whatever SoCal school that was and then also the one he did at that arena in Miami are pretty hard to get out of my mind.

Op, you ok man? Being real here, you doin alright?

If I put more thought into it I’d come up with a different answer but first recent thing that came to mind was Pedro Delfino’s lipslide on that outrageously long ledge to drop (I believe it’s in Miami).  That was almost comical how insane looking it was.
