My mom was stoked.

Bummer about state. I liked their vibe, and the shoes were at the very least made as well as lakais, and they cost less.

He was a cool fit. They are still around though. I skatet noting but stateīs for the last 3 years. Would be pretty bummed having to skate something else. I really like the vulc-sole and that the team are basiclly just "normal" dudes without superstar appeal.
Globe is a good fit. State probably has not that much money to throw around. Chris Athens moved on to Converse Flow?! Sad they donīt do more with him.
Is Rodney still on Globe? :D

I quit paying attention to state when the Fred Gall shoe dropped, but all he was skating at the time was Adidas.
If he isn't even trying to skate em, I'm sure not gonna get em.
They've never had a direction and the shoes we're always just ok, another vulc shoe with a thick jelly insole.

In a perfect world, state and proper would join forces, narrow their product lines to like 2 hightops one vulc one cup, a slip on, and a few low tops mixed vulc/cups. And have a small, 2-3 person team of underrated riders. Maybe some hometown heroes, from their respective areas.

In this world, we will all end up wearing shoes owned by one of two gigantic business conglomerates.

Oh look, a dead horse. *Grabs baseball bat*

Knew a kid like this in my hometown. Thought he was better than everyone because was more advanced, yadda yadda. He would always try to get in with any and all pros that came through town for a demo or meet n greet, always trying to pass along a tape, exchange contacts or whatever. Deathwish comes through in 2010 and I walk up to him trying to schmooze Antwuan. Twuan was faded and having none of it, looks kid dead in the eyes, cuts off whatever he was saying and just yells at him "Dude, get off my dick! You are such a dickrider! Damn, man!" I had to walk away immediately after that due to secondhand embarrassment.
Anyways, kid an adult and last I checked he's super chill now.
