It's cause this thread had rancid locker room vibes. There was literally a women's skateboarding section in the Olympics. Skateboarding is more inclusive these days. Porn is pathetic anyways. Besides, you can just go to pornhub for that.

Where was this sentiment for the 11 years this thread was active?

Boobs was stickied to the top of Whatever for 10 years. It was practically celebrated. Then all of a sudden it was un-stickied and everyone stopped posting here. Did everyone stop liking boobs? Are naked women offensive now?

I would say a lot of us have progressively become desynthesized to all sorts of erotic/porn content thus no longer as interested as before.

You and the D00D have turned this thread into a horrible head-on-collision between a short bus full of regular kids and a van full of paraplegics.

Porn is pathetic anyways.

Why?

Blehhhh. This is just my opinion. Intimacy is special and it's something people should try and experience for themselves. You don't get that from pornography. Whatever.

Not trying to be a saint. It's something to do as a horny teenager i guess. I think as you get older, you just start to value intimacy. Your partner is a whole ass human being with thoughts and trauma thus it's important to treat them with respect.

It’s also important to value sex workers. They are workers, and despite your opinions on their profession it doesn’t mean that they should be feared as a device that destroys love. Pornography has its plethora of issues for sure, but what destroys intimacy is a poorly adjusted mind with an addictive personality that can’t separate fantasy and reality. Not what someone checks out briefing incognito mode.

Respect the worker. Sex work=work.

Fair, it's a sensitive topic. Idk. To each their own. Sex work has its place in society just like most industries.

Poorly phrased on my part. My bad.

It's just hard when you grow up hearing about people blatantly abusing anything in a self-destructive manner. Like if i grew up around a drunk parent who beat tf out of their spouse, I'd probably hate alcohol. People become biased based on their experiences.

Hey dude no worries! It’s a completely understandable thought process to have! I’m sorry if I came across as a snide asshole or condescending, not my intention at all. I just wanted to point out that in sex work, the sex, or the worker aren’t the issue, it’s the exploitation and vilification of the worker. There are arguments to be had about the nature of monogamy and pornography’s place in feminism, but I’m no where near qualified or educated enough on either topic to begin to broach either subject.

I appreciate your ownership and understanding where I’m coming from. It took me a while to understand the patriarchal nature of vilifying sex work, and I hope that I helped make the topic a bit more digestible for you.

Have a gnar, my g.
