the working mans company. can we get TERP on please?

Terp, Gall, Raybourn is an incredible lineup.

Metal & Limosine industry takeover.
[close]

the first company to take advantage of the pros working day jobs angle as part of their image will absolutely body the industry as that’s 99.5% of skateboarders
Whereas, I am all about the working class branding, I think that it has, at the very least, been thoroughly explored already, (though perhaps not as a cohesive “brand image”) and I also wonder if “Buy our boards: we don’t pay our pros enough to get by on!” is a sold marketing concept over the long haul.
Still, I do like your think.

I wanna play you in a game of SKATE for the right to continue talking shit on me.  You think you got me?

If they press a 8.75 x 32.15 14.25wb I will be forever metal. Probably will anyways if they do that Alien 8.75 shape. Just wish it was shorter. Am I just a bum and need to skate a 14.5 WB? What is life? Sorry, hella crossed.

PS, saw the Rayborn thrasher thing and got hella hyped! Such an interesting happening

Dudes name was always Binaco, and he scarewalked [not airwalked] the lovegap which will always be fucking absurd. legend, still kills it.

Good dudes, this should have happened when Seek immediately failed tho. Metal re-pressed that spider graphic around 2003/04 which was sick. So technically Freddy has always also been on metal. Everyone in nj already knew this I think. They weren’t pressing boards consistently post-casino skatepark really, I think they all kinda moved on with life but still put stuff out now and then.
Theres a video somewhere on the internet from that time period called “The Metalands” which was them skating a DIY pre-Shortys, that shit was sick. I think Tim O’Connor is in there too.

Then they had the “Casino” Dunk Mid in 08 which had that Medusa graphic on the insole. basically a Metal collab from before Nike started acknowledging who was coloring the shoes unless it was a real big deal to them.

Unrelated: Just looked that shit up, crazy how much mids that sat for months and went on sale back then are going for on the resale rn.

BA guest board would be tight.

any instances of pros sharing the same graphic? Can’t be good for royalties but would still be pretty cool. A BA X Fred board to commemorate all the golden IG footage we got of them just chillin in jersey the past 2 years would be sick too haha.

Still would have been cool if Fred got on Hockey. But apperently “that shits for the kids, man.” Or whatever dill says. i know someone over there is reading this. Ya blew it. Footag of Freddy out in whereverthefuck skating spots the rest of the dudes besides Ave won’t even ride near could have been some cool shit. But what do I know, stoner bashing time.

sampling is more like collage art, original drawing of existing characters is more like a cover song. slapping your name on an existing image is like "Bob Marley - Red Red Wine.mp3"

I'm pretty sure that Swamp Thing graphic is original. I went through a buncha cover archives before I posted and I don't think it's a swipe. Swamp Thing is dope. A plant that thinks, fucks and fights for planet Earth. That's the kinda superhero you can back. He likes it downriver too. That's where the swampy parts are.
them cats are out getting mashed up to jungle, he's out mashing up jungle cats. it's just not gonna work.

i thought this was going to be about skateboards created out of metal. In the late 90s, there was a company called Aircraft that made an aluminum skatebaord. man those were ass! i rode one once! it actually wasnt completely terrible but god dman it was heavy. if you were just doing slappys and shit i could see it actualyl working though. i cant seem to find any trace of them online at all. there is a company called "Aluminati" that is doing them now apparently
