I'm definitely dating myself here, but my very 1st board back in 1982 was a 2nd hand G&S Fibreflex "freestyle" model.
They are pretty rad to ride, too: super springy!

I wanna play you in a game of SKATE for the right to continue talking shit on me.  You think you got me?

If it wasn’t for G&S, we wouldn’t be seeing Ben Raybourn joining Metal with Uncle Freddy, and these kooks are linking up Braille vids?
Hard pass.

I'm dumb, what's the connection?

And I'm not knowingly seeing any Braille vids on that site?

my first board was my dad's old fibreflex with tracker full tracks and hard kryptonics. this was in the 2006 when all of my friends had zero, element and mini logo boards so i was naturally jealous as shit and hated my board. it is now my prized possession

Just today I was getting groceries and this old head working there came up to me (was carrying my board) and proceeded to talk my ear off for 5mins about how he used to have a fibreglass board back in the day. Could not picture what a board like that would look like but now I see. Thumbs up to this thread

I believe the connection is that Neil Blender was on G&S then helped found Alien Workshop, which Fred rode for and again rides for since Habitat and Metal are both out of Alien

Carter was an am on g&s and helped make the legendary video “footage”. The family behind g&s was/is very religious and wouldn’t let them do things creatively so they left and took a bunch of the team(including Neil) and started alien.
Fred then got on The team and then moved to habitat and did multiple metal guest decks.
Now they will distribute metal it sounds like.
Full circle.
