Rosie’s Dog Beach in Long Beach. Lots of curbs, manny pads, good flat ground.

I’m about to burn out my spot but fuck it, I moved to Colorado last year, if you’re near the downey area, right behind WSS/wingstop shoes on Firestone. The WSS is closed down(last time I checked) so it’s bust free, I salba sauced the fuck outta the curbs so you can grind for miles, and there’s a long double sided curb to get techy widdit. Ground is paved and smooth as buttery, if you go, please pick up after yourself:) the surrounding businesses have been cool with us skating there. Bail gun gary recently made a pepper grip edit there.

SM is definitely GOAT, but it's very hard to skate. Plus I get super self conscious with all those people around all the time.

daytime can be sporadic up until 5pm. It could be super packed and busy with shoppers, or it can be completely empty during business hours. It’s currently summertime and the freshly resealed ground radiates heat. Once the sun starts to set behind the mountains though it’s amazing. They installed new led lights about 6 months ago making it easier to skate at nighttime

The “scene” is sort of cyclical. It’ll be really popular for a little bit and then die out for a while. Everyone that comes fairly regularly for the weeknight sessions are cool. Lately you can catch Ronnie Creager skating the morning sessions. I’ve gone as early as 6am, and I’ve stayed as late as 4am. I like to skate there on weekdays when I’m not working. Sometimes I’ll bring a box, sometimes someone will bring a flatbar, and this one dude even brings a spine ramp sometimes

Locals at Costco were shockingly friendly to me when I was in town. Granted, I was coming from NYC, where people are generally pretty closed off.

I know the Costco is right by the Polar/LRAB distro warehouse so I think a lot of the guys who work there will session after work and they’re all super friendly (the ones I’ve met at least)

Was in the area today and swung by. Curbs were dry. Quick wax on my trucks and got a couple of slaps in as a delivery truck driver watched on curiosity (WSS is gonna be a Spirit Halloween, so they were dropping off merch/supplies).

Then I went back about my day.
