YouTube Skaters & Channels
« on: June 02, 2022, 08:04:54 AM »
So I know the subject of YouTube skaters can be polarizing... love them, hate them or whatever... who are you watching. Who do you think is producing good, entertaining content... what YouTube channels are you stoked on? Here's a couple that I've been watching lately...

Al Brunelle. When I first found his channel, I thought he was kinda kooky, but he can shred a bowl with some style. Now, I look forward to his uploads and his personality has grown on me.

Hardcore Magazine. Looks to be a Japan-based skate channel. Homies skating along with some b-roll lifestyle clips thrown in.

So who's stoking you on the Tube?

I unironically watch John Hill. I find him pretty entertaining and actually got some restaurant and bookstore recommendations from one of his older videos while visiting Dallas this past weekend. Shout out John Hill. Ben Degros is universally loved on here. He just genuinely makes the most interesting content. If ever I have some gear madness 9/10 times Ben has a video on it and it helps me out.

Ben Degros is my internet stepdad.

GH, is ok most of the time, but he has some pretty wack takes sometimes, and he can be a bit inconsistent. No one's perfect, but when your whole thing is calling people out you gotta keep things tight on your end.

Bendy gross is obvs choice for oldies.
I'll sometimes throw on a Johnny giger if it's at the top so something's on while I inevitably scroll for ten mins trying to find something else to put on. Not quite YouTube skaters but fesn lab. Those oj super juice parts.

I agree with this, Ben DeGros' soothing cadence and Canadian accent put me at ease while indulging the madness.

I watch all of GH's uploads and while he does make some well thought out points, he definitely has some head-scratching takes from time to time.

Get hungry on it!

Jon Bishop:  a 47 year-old guy learning to skate transition. Fully support his obvious love for skateboarding, and find watching him learn tricks to be an insightful process.

Chad Caruso:  his 50 tricks/50 states/50 days challenge is unbelievable. He is doing extremely hard transition tricks in every video (kickflip blunt kickflip, backtail bigspin out etc.), getting broke off on a daily basis, and driving seven hours at a time to get to his destinations. His interactions with the public and other skaters are great.  I have watched this series three times, and I would recommend it to anyone.

The pant situation is out of control at this point

I watch Dale. Some others. I sometimes comment. I watch Dan sometimes.

I’ve subscribed to a bunch of it because they say it helps? I want all of skateboarding to eat.

I usually am doing something else when the tv is on so it’s all just noise. Sometimes I hear shot and comment.

I like skate line. That’s the real skateboarding youtube.

I like all I need. I like their riders. They do a ton of stuff with local kids at Edge indoor.

I want skateboarding to go forever and ever so if you’re helping people get into it I can back your channel np.

Eli at the shred shop? I luv that guy.  Show kinda is meh but the host is entertaining. He should get a game show or something.

Duane making crazy noises and sending venom out in random directions was kinda funny.

I sampled like 50 insane quotes for my next one person power bio project.  It’s going to be brutal af.

I yse to watch that chicken channel about les but I saw that kid rocking the Red Bull and was like ok. I’m over it
