American horror story appreciation thread

Been watching this show since it’s inception and it’s not all that bad some campiness here and there but not bad show for what it is.

Watched all of season 3 Coven about the witches. Emma Roberts & Sarah Paulson wow. Then sporadically watched episodes of different seasons over the years. The aesthetic always kind of creeped me out. Think I would really enjoy every season if I watched from the beginning

first season from memory was good, something about how the house was cursed

I like the 1st 2nd 3rd 6th and 9th just finishing up the 10th double feature.  Some of it was hokey and cheesy but genuinely good storytelling.

what I’m not digging throughout is the sex bs maybe I’m a fuddy duddy idc but to tell a story one doesn’t have to show sex merely implies it.

Watches a fair chunk of the early stuff, think the last season I saw had witches in the future or something. Im not someone who absolutely needs nudity, gore, violence etc but I feel like for something doing all the horror tropes it would probably improve it a bit. Altho I understand it's on regular tv so it's not what it's about. For me it also suffers a bit because it's not actually scary nor does it have particularly good effects etc so there's not much about it for nerds like me to get into.

I’ve watched since the beginning and like it. Not really a horror show. More psychological thriller maybe? If it was on HBO or the like we might get a little more horror aspect to the show but I’m ok with how it is.

Murder House, Asylum, Hotel, Cult, and Roanoke have been my favorite seasons.
