Just realized it’s on my NYT crossword app, so I’m now two days in (for my first time).

Do people use the same opening word all the time or is it a process to figure out the best one? I think I have a decent one, but curious if I should switch it up

I’ve gone back and forth. Recently I was using the same starting word every day (AUDIO) but it definitely felt less fun and wasn’t working that well either. I’ve gone back to just picking a new starter every day. I usually try to start with a word with at least 2 vowels and usually a T, S, R or M in there.
