Non skate shoes… and to a greater extent, shoes I have no desire to skate or unskatable.

I fucking love my new balence walking shoes, and place on getting some ASICS chillers, but for the longest I had this stupid mentality that buying a shoe I wasn’t gonna skate in was a waste of money.

eating vegetables especially those bitter wild ones in the forest. drinking plain water all day, ditching the sugars, green tea, spend time in the farm when not doing my 8-5 work..

i held out on enjoying 5-0s for years because i thought they looked really dumb (the people i would see do them would only tap the edge of the ledge with them - i never really saw people grinding 5+ feet worth)

wasnt until recently that i started to find them enjoyable

especially when you spice it up with a switch crook combo or do it a bit crooked definitely makes it a top tier trick for me

baggy clothes, rap, and energy drinks. hopefully that energy drink shit changes soon because I drink way too many Red Bulls and am concerned for the future wellbeing of my kidneys if I keep going at the rate I am currently

I have a good friend that never drank alcohol a day in his life but drank Red Bulls heavily for years and he ended up needing to have his liver replaced at 35. He had to wait on a donors list for a few years but he ended up getting it replaced and is doing well now.

Crass. Before highschool I didn't wanna hear nothing about them. I was Exploited Barmy Army all the way.
I was just angry AF. Also I grew up in swastika land. People don't like to hear it but the 80s was lame AF.
Plz stop killing each other

I took have just began to explore what I like to call "white ppl guitar music" which I wouldn't have been caught dead listening to because I just thought it was all very lame even into my 20s. I came up as a hip hop head, and a backpacker at that, but I find myself listening to way way less hip hop and far more 80s new wave, shoe gaze, etc. All the stuff I'd have cringed myself into the floor hearing as a teen is on regular rotation these days.

Stretching and drinking lots of water. Been doing more and more stretching over the last year or 2. Just do some basic stuff I learned online. I’d say it’s very helpful with skating and recovering.

I love comfy chillers and walking shoes these days. And I know they probably look goofy but I got a pair of Crocs slide sandals (not the clogs) and they’re super comfy.

a lot of skate brands and music in video parts

you get less snobby with age, or at least I did

Opposite for me. When i was a kid i thought every thing related to the skate industry was the coolest. Now theres only like 4 board brands i would even consider, and half of them don't make my shape anyways.

100%. I remember purposefully not skating on the first two "official" GSDs back in '04 and '05 cause I thought it was kook shit. Now I'm taking off work early to join in the celebrations in my city. Who knows when I'll get another opportunity to hang out with so many skaters.

8.5/8.75 decks. That was a megaramo setup back in the day. Not for the skreets.
