Bought em from my local (at the time) in Bozeman Montana for like 60% off.
I remember them being super comfy, but the soles felt weird as shit on board.
They also lasted forever, which was a bummer as a kid with no money, cuz you knew you weren’t getting anything else till they were toast.

I've never seen that shoe in person but it looks cool and seems fitting to his whole high fashion aesthetic from that time. Dill's part was sick. The song is lovely, he's got his own style of manuals, and it's a nice NYC time capsule. There was so much footage from Fat Kid Spot (RIP). It's a skatepark now and that's cool but I wish that they'd figured out a way to incorporate that weird metal bar that connected the two manual pads, or even just have a freak show flatbar influenced by the OG spot. It was such a strange obstacle and I can't imagine what it was even originally intended for. Maybe as a runner or track for loading small carts?

the  silver shoe in question was the dvs dill 4....the tan/brown ones above are dill1's, the infamous prada inspired shoe.

The thing with the Daewon part was that it was his return to 'proper' street skating. No more picnic bench constructions. No more repeating himself. He went back to the streets and that was a joy to watch at the time. Almost as exciting as his Love Child part. That nose manny along the bank and into the steep bit under the bridge was BANGING.

I think it's gotta at least be divided into VHS era, DVD era and internet era. VHS era had a lot of bullshit like emerica yellow (a pig wheels video of the time comes to mind too) but it was pretty common for VHS videos to just be whatever minute of random footage people on the team had mashed together. As great as jump off a building is it's actually kinda jarring by modern standards of how short and random footage the parts are.

I will defend all Guy Kampfen and Ryan Kenreich parts / tricks. Hell, I even rewatch Chris Dobstaffs Osiris + Darkstar parts.
But on that note, as tolerant as I am of Chetty Thomas, his Batallion part has an awful AWFUL song and feels like you're watching a half hour hardflip tutorial. He also has some of the most oddball decisions ever in the realms of concept parts with his part in the Globe video; with his sporadic narration and dual screen tricks / lines. It's so fucking strange.
