Help uploading HPX170 footage

Hey y'all, wondering if someone here could possibly help me... I'm using an HPX170 with a Mac and attempting to upload footage to my computer via USB, which I've previously done successfully. When I switch the camera to PC mode, I'm getting a static message that says "USB DISCONNECT." I've tried hooking it up to multiple computers and I keep getting the same message. Anyone else deal with this issue? Would really like to avoid having to get one of those expensive P2 card readers. Thanks in advance!

Have you tried a different USB cable? You usually get that message when you unplug the cable so it could be a loose connection or something
