Same here, favourite trick in the part! Reminded me of an earlier nollie of his but I can't quite put my finger on it

After watching that part for the 3rd time now (which I very rarely do), I like his tricks at the bank to tree stump the most. Such a rad spot and trick selection there.

Spots, tricks, music, everything rules.

That was so sick. I’m stoked Fred can and chooses to still go that hard.

He sort of shimmies in the air on the nollie like he did on this one down a dub set in his inhabitants part at 2:10

So stoked on this part. Fred back in half cabs after all of these years. I pictured up the thrasher shirt too. New Jersey

sometimes, contrary to the typical phrase, it's not how it's done, but what you do

tbh he always looked kinda stiff. i thought that kind of added to it. he is just a normal dude he doesnt have any sort of extraordinary atheltic ability or anything. just worked hella hard. he reminds me a bit of chris cornell from soundgarden for some reason.

At 43 years young Frederick Gall absolutely killed it. Period.

He skated some of the crustiest spots I've ever seen put to film. In my opinion. Fred emulates everything that a Thrasher SOTY would embody: crust, gnar, and good tricks.

Oh yea and he skated to Sabbath. Freddy is a real one and deserves everything that may come his way. Including SOTY.

**Also someone else said it earlier. But my god would I buy a Fred Gall signature shoe from Adidas--I just hope the stupid German company would give him one.

Inspiring and completely satisfying. He's always been unstoppable on a skateboard and his harrowing journey makes this part even more of a testament to his love and dedication to skating. He's still got plenty of time too.

I was looking for the words to say this earlier in the thread. You put it down in a way I couldn't.

Garbage take. Fred went switch on Hubba before anyone in SF, in skateboarding that counts as extraordinary ability.

lol you can take that however you want. it wasnt meant to be offenseive. he has awlays been one of my favorite skaters. I realize how insane that move is i have been to the hubba myself and know how hard it is just to get on regular, let alone switch. way ahead of its time. but that is because he was very dedicated. i just dont think he was one of the most naturally athletic when you compare him to someone like Dashawn Jordan or Reese Forbes. he was always a bit bigger set like foy/frankie. he was very early on switch speed grinds so it looked a little stiffer in comparison to other people because they were only skating regular.

Yeah all that shit is wrong.
Skating switch on Hubba, let alone before anyone else (plus he isn't even from there, that's a huge deal) means extraordinary ability.  SF heads were not doing that then and we can all agree the list of extraordinary people from there at that time is a long one.  Can't front on Fred the man is gifted and you can save that athlete talk for the NBA thread.

Bump o rama
i just rewatched this a couple of days ago and then again yesterday. huge freddy fan & always love his stuff. i think initially i wanted more in some aspects or expected it, only because he’s the best & his story/getting sober/what ba was saying about his footage in his nine club… i was just so excited for this part for so long & kept eagerly waiting for it to randomly drop. first watch i loved it & was still stoked, i just felt like something was missing. upon rewatch i realize that it’s perfect and that i want to rewatch it regularly. i guess what i realized after all was that my only drawback is the filming of some tricks which really goes to show how much that matters in a part.

imagine fucking the dog shit outta chris roberts
