it’s pretty fucking unfair to just assume that casper ditched the ad project and hopped on the baker train. surely there are any number of reasons why he’s made the move. maybe ad is done? maybe they all decided it wasn’t worth it. maybe some of them got better offers that they couldn’t turn down? maybe jake harris pulled out? maybe. maybe. maybe.

anyway casper on baker looks like a nice thing.

I mean its a guess but based on evidence? Spotted on the boards and in NY with reynolds and tyson. Not confirmation but pretty sound to assume its at least in strong contention. Way more to go off than you claiming hes betraying his friends and acting like you know the dynamics of that crew...

What's the problem here? I thought one of the best parts about Atlantic Drift was that it featured guys from different companies anyway...

Starting a new company from the ground up could mean asking someone to take a paycut until it's fully up and running, this could be a lot to ask someone. That's just speculation ofc but if it is the case I'd imagine not having to pay another head from the get go isn't that much of an L either for AD either.

Usually I'd agree with 'no more new brands etc' but since Isle's downsizing over the years I do think there is a gap for another UK company to house the bigger names not on Palace. All in all seeing Casper in a Baker would be sick and I don't think it's as deep as people are making out.

I think Limosine boards are based off baker shapes if not just baker shapes. Max Palmer was riding them too. I think that crew just likes pointy boards. Can’t blame them.

Word is they were never forthright with Jensen and Shier with their grievances with Isle until they had already decided to quit at a team meeting. Some of the riders took issue with them not going on Isle trips, or that Atlantic Drift and Isle being too closely associated, which if you think about it, starting Drift Skateboards, doesn't make a lot of sense then. You'd have Drift Skateboards + Atlantic Drift, filmed and edited by the same guy with the same aesthetic.  Which is basically what Isle + Atlantic Drift was post Vase.

I don't know about the other shapes but my 8.5 Max board has all the dimensions of the 8.4 Baker shape. Super pointy, 14.25 wb, hair under 8.5.

Pretty good output for 3-4 years time imo. Plus he was posting on ig what felt like every other day for a bit. So much so that I'm glad he's kind of slowed down in that front.

I’m bored as hell, so I figured I’d put in my perspective.

Casper is probably just riding Baker boards until AD comes through. It’s gotta be more difficult for an overseas brand to get production going through a manufacture who typically supplies the US market.

Why not fill in the purgatory, with a brand you always looked up to, especially when you can get em for free. Maybe, he likes that one Baker shape that’s just under 8.5 and just below 32” long. I bet Reynolds’s has no problem lacing someone like Casper with boards as well.

Not saying it is completely out of the question he could get on Baker. I just find it highly unlikely for now unless, we find more out. Everything is just speculative, including what I’m saying. I feel like we’re grasping for straws here
